George, Not sure what material your tank is but, since your'e in wisconsin there probably is a Menards somewhere by you. Get some Flex Seal tape. Whether it is steel or plastic make sure it is clean. I've cleaned both with laquer thinner. Tape from the inside hopefully you can get to the inside and tape the outside. esp if the tank is over 10 gallons. If it's not clean it'll not last too long maybe a month or so. Tis super sticky so getting it on smooth can be a challenge. Warm tape helps alot. you also may want to try flex shot Caulk. A good bead all around the screw will seal it. follow cure times though. Enjoy todays weather! best to you.

your pto pump you have a good mower replace pump about 200.00 but think how old is it whats the possiblty with other stuff breaking down you and exspencive mower hard to make desission me i would have pump put on it also slight very slight be bad check valve but dont bet on it yea hold old how exspenssive is it worth it id replace pump my self it would be worth it

Not sure of the assembly but try to loosen the set screw and move the gear, if you assembled this unit the drive wheel may be on the wrong side...
