Wont turn on

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.Answers to issues:1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not. Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom. What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.4_28_2012_4_06_53_pm.jpg

My tv wont turn on

Check voltages in power supply to determine if power supply is bad. Check vs, va, vsc, vce, 5v, 12v, 3.3v, 1.8 v to see if you have these voltages coming out of the power supply.

TV is now about 5 years old and can't turn off

The only thing I can think for the user to try is to UNPLUG it and wait for 5 minutes before you plug it back in a try it again. Please note that turning off the power (if that control still works) is not the same as removing all power by unplugging it.

If that fails I would suspect that the control circuits have a malfunction, and you will have to take it to a repair shop.

Best of luck!

Looking for pcb boards.where can

Unfortunately you will be best buying the same model with a broken screen off eBay or other site. Hisense is a company based in china and as it is of low quality will rarely have any replacement parts available. You will be unable to source parts online as secondary manufacturers do not provide these. You may be able to swap parts from a semi-functional model however. You may be able to also fix the circuit board itself, as often times it will be a simple issue such as a blown fuse.

No.
It will work in Europe and Eire but not in the UK. The fault will be no sound.
If however, you use a "set top" digital TV decoder, it doesn't matter as they should be connected by a Video/Audio lead and bypass the tuner that is B/G.
Hope that helps.

My remote will not work and need a new one.were do

Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera’s Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera’s screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals.

How do you clean plasma screen

Turn off the plasma display before cleaning it. Doing this is not necessary, but it's preferred, especially if you're going to use a cleaning solution spray. Since Plasma TVs use more power than and generate more heat than LCD TVs, it is best to turn it off AND allow ample time for the unit to cool to the touch before attempting to clean the screen. Failure to do this may cause your cleaning solution to evaporate before it has had enough time to remove any dust, dirt, or contaminants on your screen.[1] Some sources suggest unplugging the TV. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to remove fingerprints and smudges. Avoid wood-based products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues) because they can scratch the screen. If stubborn dirty spots persist, go to the next step. However, be advised that some manufacturers, such as Pioneer, recommend no liquid at all on the front of their plasmas, lest it seep into the plasma display.
If you must use a liquid, spray-- a minimal amount of--the cleaning solution on the soft cloth, not on the screen. If the moistened cloth is not cleaning sufficiently, you can spray additional SMALL amounts on the cloth. At no time do you want the cloth wet to the point where the solution drips or runs down the screen! See previous point for the reason why. Use either just distilled water or non-ammonia or alcohol-based window cleaner. Ammonia and alcohol are substances which will eventually cloud any plastic with microscopic "crazing," with the effect of hazing and dimming the displayed image. After wiping the screen gently, follow up with a dry cloth
