Don't know how to adjust volume on remote speakers

Can I ask you something? I have the same but the remote doesn't work, and I have no sound in the B speakers. I wonder if there's something that I have to do with the remote, or there's a problem with the receiver, Thanks.

I've got an Onkyo M-282 with one channel that just died. Upon visual exam, there seems to be absolutely nothing wrong with it (the caps are all flat, not puffing, no broken components or smells...).

Likely you blew your outputs Transistors or mos fets, you cannot be sure without ohm meter. usually when one side goes out the protection kick in on both chanels Tony Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/tony_a41fa0b801734e2f

If your speakers are not in good condition you may have floated the cones inducing DC feedback into the amplifier, Im not sure if this amp has internal protection fuses, but I would check them and if so replace with same specification fuses. Sometimes we get lucky... Good luck

If you have the old fuse, it should be either a 3AG style or GMA style. Look at any of the on-line electronics parts suppliers for these. You can verify the type based upon what is written on the fuse itself. If you have further questions, post any markings on the current fuse here and I'll explain further.

How to get two M-282's to power one non-powered sub

you can't get 2 amps to drive 1 sub since your amp is not designed to be able to run in mono or bridge mode.
However, what you can try is to reverse the + and - terminal.
The reason is that if the sub is place at a location where the wave cancels out the wave, it'll actually make the entire base go lower.
So sometimes reversing the polarity will have the enhanced effect.
Give that a try.

Also, you may want to consider using the main out rather than the subwoofer out as the sub out may have a filter build in that may actually get in the way of the signal.

Hello!

Hi...
If you try JUST headphones (spkrs off), does it still go into protect?
If so, I would say ( from my previous 50 or so receivers) that it needs new power supply capacitors
If not, either one of your spkrs is faulty or they arent connected solidly at both ends

Onkyo M-282

check your amplifier output speaker impedance requirements..
example: 8 ohms...build a speaker 8 ohms in parallel or series connection..
check the impedance using ohmeter ..you must reach the required impedance..

use 1 cell battery to check if you speakers are in-phase...if one speaker did not ..reverse connection and check again ...to give the good sound...hope you understand my english..:)

I have 1 center channel

I would get the splitter that splits the jack from one to two rca jacks, then plug into both amp inputs and then run the speakers how you want. Make sure speakers on left side of room are on left channel and rights on right side otherwise it will sound weird. You have the right idea. You can get the splitters and anything else from amazon.com

I have 1 center channel

Unfortunately can't connect it that way. The pre out is only meant to go directly into an amplifier that has all of the same inputs (front/rear, center and surround), not a standard receiver. (Pre amp to amp only, not pre amp to receiver) If your Onkyo doesn't have all the same inputs as your Kenwood preamp has outputs you will just use your standard left/right outputs from the Kenwood to your Onkyo input (CD, Tape, Phono,DVD etc) then use the outputs (front/rear, center and surround) from your Onkyo receiver and connect directly to your speakers..

I have an ONKYO TX-SV717Pro amp. recently I lost

It could be that you lost the power supply to the surround amp IC or the Ic is defective. It should be mounted on a circuit board attached to the heatsink. Look for poor solder connections first. I don't recall the specifics of this model, but the surround amp IC should be easily located.

Update this with your progress and I'll try to locate the service manual in the meantime.
