GE FUF14SVRWW Upright Freezer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Freezer runs for approx. four days with operation
From what I read, the "L." that you see on the control panel indicated that the controls have been locked. According to the manual if you hold down the "alarm reset" button for 3 seconds the "L." will disappear allowing you to control the temperature again. I don't as of yet know what is causing your overall problem though...

I don't knowabout the ONLY solution. Is the drain plugged? If so the condenser could be frozen over and therfore no cooling even though fan, compressor and defroster are working. How is 134 level? 124 WILL run below 55 degrees. Duh, that's what's in your car and it will work before the engine compqartment is warm. It may not work as well because of the coefficient of expansion/contraction but it still does "work."

Running continuously, bottom stuff
Hello,
It is a faulty thermostat. An open thermostat defaults to a high value,
so it does not shut off. If it was a bad compressor, or low in freon,
it would not "get ice cold". If it is low on freon, the low pressure
switch would not let it start up.
The defrost timer either runs normally (cycles on and off cold) or is in
defrost mode (heater elements turn on to temporarily heat the freezer
in order to remove frost). Anyway, It is not the defrost timer if it
"gets icy cold".
Unplug your Refrigerator remove the thermostat and take it to your local
parts store. Hopefully it is cold outside where you live, if so you
may put your food in a cooler outside your door until you replace the
thermostat which you will find is an easy task.
Regards.
Ge chest freezer wiring diagram
Great question but I cannot answer it. GE makes several models of chest freezers and they are not all wired the same. My eyesight is not to good and I cannot see your freezer so I cannot answer your question. You might try our friend google and look for the make and model of your freezer with the prefix schematic.

Freezer temperature swings
the users manual does not cover this particular issue as to the temperature swing. I have seen some thermostats that are the "constant on" type that you are describing. No way of telling from the vague manual. As long as you are not storing ice cream for a long period of time, 0 degrees is usually fine for most home applications. Sorry I can not give you more info.
