Press the OK/MENU button. Use cursor-left/right to select the wrench icon. Use cursor-up/down to select "Date." Use cursor-up/down to select "Set Date" and press OK/MENU. Use cursor-left/right to move between fields, cursor-up/down to change them. Press OK/MENU when done.

There's no pause. You just stop recording and then start up again.

You can use SD or SDHC card.

This following steps allows you to set the system time which will be displayed on the photos.

• Press the Up or Down buttons to select the Date option in the Setup menu.
• Press the OK MENU button.
• Press the Up or Down buttons to select a Date option from the menu that appears

On selecting "On" the date will appear on the photo once it is taken.
On selecting "Off" no date will appear on the photo.
On selecting "Set Date" the Set Date settings screen will appear. You will be able to change the date settings that will appear on the photo once it is taken.
To Set the date:

• Press the Up or Down button to enter the Set Date option.
• Press the OK MENU button.
• Press the Right/Left button to select and highlight the Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minute, Second and Date Format type.
• Press the Up or Down button to set the Date and Time digits.
• Select the first option of the Date format and press the Up or Down button to set the date format that appears on the top line: YY MM DD; DD MM YY; MM DD YY.

• Press the OK MENU button to confirm, save the changes and exit.

The 8225 is designed primarily as a still camera and does not record any sound with video. You can add a soundtrack using a video-editing program on a computer, but you cannot record one on this camera.

You can adjust the way your camera is setup with 11 setup option: Exposure, ISO, White Balance, Sharpness, Quality, Date, Auto Power off, Frequency, Language, Copy, Format and Default Setting.
1. Press OK in MENU button.
2. Press the Right/Left button to select the right icon.
3. The Setup menu appears in the center of the LCD.
4. Press the Up/Down button to select one of the setup submenu options.

Unfortunately, you don't. The ViviCam 8225 is primarily a still camera. It does not record sound in video mode. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer, but you cannot record one on the camera.

Most microphones on the camera may be too far away. So, its better to add voice or music on the computer to your movie from the Vivicam 8225 camera, using mpeg4/h.264(mjpeg+MP3)..

Goto setup and then date to set the date and time.

turn off antishake.

Lens turns when it comes out. Recharge your lithium ion battery fully first. Turn on the camera. Then zoom to see if the lens moves freely. Fully extended only when it is not in tele mode but in wide angle mode. You need service if the lens does not move out, and camera does not power on.

You don't need the disc if you start with a SD memory card. 2gB can do 38638 vga pictures for internet. vga pictures without antishake mess are better than the 3mp pictures too..SD can be read into computers.

You need an adaptor to plug into your vivicam usb socket about 5 volts 2.5 amp.

Antishake is on. ok to get menu, trash to get to antishake turn it to off. Hold the camera steady next time you take a picture.

from the first day we bought the 8225 we always had to hit the Wide / Tele switch 2 times to tele to get it in focus. none of the other w/t settings would be in focus. i was getting the camera ready for use the other day and noticed the aperture to be out of axial alignment with the lens. Gave it a tap, it moved to the center, anouther tap it moved to the side, everything out of focus. just bought a jewelers screwdriver set and will try to tighten this up but it apparently was never tightened properly. I know this is a good looking camera on paper (8.1 meg and all that) but boy am i glad i got it on sale! And it is not all the fault of the poor Chinese 2nd graders who assembled the thing, this camera takes movie clips but by design has no microphone, no sound, absurd! I bought this in part because back in the 60"s when i needed a quality flash unit to set atop my SLR it was usually a Vivitar. They have apparently gone the route of most of the corporate world; sell outs!
