Hello. From what you're describing, it sounds like the user interface board(fancy name for control panel) is defective. The part number for it is W10215814 and is #9 on the Pic 1 exploded parts diagram. The sequential pics show the procedure for entering diagnostic mode, interpreting error codes, clearing codes, and testing different parts of the dryer. I hope I helped you!

Most likely a blown fuse if there is no humming or similar. Would need model number to help further. A bad motor or timer could also be an issue.

Check the fuse in the main box in case a circuit breaker has tripped If that is fine check the fuse in the power plug . If that is fine too and power is getting to the machine it may be a switch problem , you can test this with a multimeter observig safety precautions. Beyond that you will probably need a repairman/technician to diagnose it

Bradley, Just saw your other question. The heating element is located below and behind the drum. You will have to remove the front panel and the drum to gain access to the heating element. Be sure to unplug your dryer before attempting any repairs. Also, since you will be removing the drum, make sure that you take note of how the belt goes around the motor and idler pulley. You should also take a good look at your belt, might be a good time to replace it while you are in that deep. If it has tiny cracks on the inside, I would recommend replacing it. Hope this helps!

This noise can be caused by the solenoid valve that controls the gas flow to the burner. If the dryer is not getting hot then the valve needs to be replaced. Depending upon the age and manufacturer the valve may be an integral part of the burner assembly. There is usually a schematic pasted to the inside service area unless it fell out. Read it & start tracing wires. The power to the element should pass through a fuse, a thermistor(cycles power on and off relative to heat and a safety switch that kills power if it gets too hot. Don't take short cuts.
