Freezer temperate has dropped to

yes the compressor seems to be good but it has an internal overload inside the compressor if that collaps your compressor is busted but try to ajust the temp..or reduse the refrigerant charge to minimal the running hour of the compressor.

Problem involves a small standalone GE icemaker;

Hello,

The problem most likely look like there is low freon in the compressor of the unit, i would suggest you check the freon in the compressor of your unit, because when freon are low i the compressor, it will cause the unit not to cold enough. Also ensure the unit is leveled.

Take care.

Increase 15amp to 20amp breaker?

Hello
Take a look at the model number plate, somewhere the amps should be listed.

Add up the total for both freezers. One may be 8 amps the other 10.

So a 20 amp will work.Do not be more then 10 % over the total.

The ice maker is not making ice.

If there is no water entering the ice maker then it may be the inlet is freezing or simply not working. This is normally caused by the flow solenoid not fully shutting off or not opening at all. If it does not completely shut off, this will allow some water to flow into the freezer after it should shut off and it freezes blocking the line. The water enters the refrigerator on the rear through a 1/4" line flowing into an electric solenoid. If the water's route is blocked or the solenoid does not work, no water, no ice. Of course if the bail wire is lifted it cannot make ice. If you see the arm swing into action and 10 seconds later, you hear a buzz but no water flows the ice maker is asking for water but it is not getting there. This probably means the solenoid is ok and you have a kinked water supply line or the filter inside the solenoid is clogged. Also check the fill tube to make sure it is not frozen. A hair dryer will thaw it out quickly. If ice is laying around the fill tube it will freeze over. Check the line entering the solenoid. Turn the water supply off, disconnect it from the solenoid and put it in a bucket turn the water on and see if you have water. Lastly the solenoid itself can be defective. Either it is not opening or it is not completely shutting off. Either way it will stop the flow of water. Replacing the solenoid is fairly straight forward if you buy a direct OEM replacement and not a universal valve that fits many units. The make and model of your unit is necessary to get a replacement.

Clicking noise in the circuit board and everything

Hi. this will be a failed relay on that circuit board. This is called the PCB(main unit power control board). This board controls the compressor relay functions, and the compressor power current, as well. The evaporator fan, and condenser fan, receives their respective current from this power control board, also. When a circuit board of this nature begins to malfunction, it will cause the unit to not cool properly, due to limited, or no fan actions, or a failed compressor cycle. I would recommend to replace this damaged control board, asap.

My fridge freezer is hot at the sides

Good day,
Within reason that is normal, since the condenser is embedded in the walls of the machine. It should have at least 8" of space on all sides but that's it.
If it ever stays cold then that is when I'd start worrying.

Thanks for using FixYa and
please rate me.
Jack.

Things in freezer melt and re-freeze

Your condenser fan motor at the compressor is either filthy or needing to be replaced. Air flow is pulled over compressor to keep it at a good operating temp. If the fan cannot pull air across compressor it will over heat and shut down on overload. Imagine working in yard on hot summer day and wearing a dust mask over your mouth and nose. Your body shuts down more needing more rest. Same thing with refrigerators, they have to be able to breathe properly also.

Not pumping water to icemaker

Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Lots of ice build up in freezer

It sounds like a bad door gasket. Check it carefully. Try placing a piece of typing paper in the door, close it and see if it stays, if not replace the gasket.
Good luck,
