Vacume cleaner

Check the hose and see if it has a clog, also the hose at the bottom. The filters may be clogged, make sure they are clean and that air flows thru them, if not then replace them.

Eureka vaccum won't turn on

There is a thermal reset in the motor that will shut the motor off if it gets too hot from a clog or clogged filters. It will come back on when it cools down. If it does this try to find a clog somewhere and also replace or clean your filters

Eureka 5892BVZ ON/OFF switch burnt

COUNT ME IN ON A CLASS ACTION IF ANYONE KNOWS A GOOD LAWYER.
Here's my story, posted on other solutions here, especially on the Model 5893; many people with burned wiring and switches. Major fire hazard imo! Okay, here's the skinny on my upright Eureka POS vacuum:
Had a problem with my upright Eureka Model 5893 bagless kinda starting and stopping. Eventually, the handle would get hot, and finally it just quit. When handle was disassembled, the wires were melted and it was toast. Ordered a switch after talking to several repair men. Talked to Eureka, too, and they were absolutely no help. Cheap wiring and switch made in China. Good luck trying to find a switch. vacuum-depot.com has switches, so you might try there, but make sure you get the 3-prong switch (same switch used on Eureka's Genesis). It is Part #27871.

My Eureka 5892 BVZ-1 vaccum has very little

There are probably three filters, one on the back of the dust collection bin, one under the dust collection bin, and one where the air exits the vacuum, check all three.

Multiple broken belts in months

Either the belt is not tracking straight, the brush roll is bad(check the ends to make sure they turn easily), or the base has warped and the brush roll is not sitting in the proper spot.

How do I locate and find each of the filters?

The foam & filter assembly is behind the clear door with the latch you pull up on, located above the dirt cup. The hepa filter is on the right side of vacuum as you are facing it from front.

Belt

Turn vac over, take out 4 to 5 screws and the top cover will come off. The belt is a cogged belt #72393 and goes between the brush roll motor and the brush roll.

What causes a vacuum to make lots of dust and

It sounds like the airducts that lead to your dirt chamber are clogged. The dirt can't get through to the dirt cup so it spits it back out and blows dust everywhere.

Problems with Eureka 5892AVZ Bagless Upright

You may be using the wand/hose without an attachment on it. The attachments on my dyson always allow some air to flow to by, it may be the same on the Eureka. If air flow is completely stopped the cyclone will shut down and then the hair/dust/whatever will flow to the filter. So don't let the air flow be completely shut off during use.

The vacumm over heat?

The filters are clogged and need washing or completely cleaned. Also check all hoses and dust channels to ensure the model is completely cleared out.

Brush spins & then trips & quits

Sounds like a clog to me. Check that the roller brush cap fittings (caps at either end of the brush roll) don't have thread in them as well as checking that the dust channel from the sole plate is completely clear.

Motor is noisy

Hi Generally modern upright vacs don't have screws that you can undo to get into the motor and most Electrolux/Eureka models have sealed units. I suggest looking at the sole plate where the roller brush is, check for anything clogging the main dust channel and then remove the hoses. Also take out the filters and give them a good clean, washing them are good but you must let them dry (or put in a low temp tumble dryer in a pillowcase with a towel) out.
You'd have to check out Eureka's customer services for an imploded service manual. Check on their website if nothing else works.

Eureka Boss - no suction in upright postion

when mine does that I find that the hose is not connected properly where it comes off to use the attachments.
If there is suction there, it is a straight shot to the floor unless it is loose where it fits together.
