Dewalt DPH3100 Gas Pressure Washer Questions & Answers
Why won't It siphon soap?
Hello,
These units use a venturi to inject soap, where the tube goes onto the brass barb, that should unscrew and there is a little ball bearing and spring in there that sometimes stick when thay have not been used for a little while, if you clean the ball bearing up with some steel wool and lube it up and reassemble, 9 times out of 10 this will rectify your problem
Hope this helps,
Brad
Hi, My Dewalt 3100 pressure
The Dewalt 3100 came with 2 different pumps. The Blue Cat pump and the oil free pump that was made by DeWalt. You may just have a bad Thermal relief Valve on the unit. You can find the parts diagram at www.allpartsinc.com
Gas going into the oil
If the unit hasn't been laying on its side or front for a prolonged period of time your problem is with the float and/or needle valve in the carburator. If the float is damaged or the needle valve or seat isn't able to close fully, gas will continue to flow into the float bowl then into the cylinder where it will seep down into the crank case and contaminate the oil. Best bet is to buy a rebuild kit for the carburetor but check that it comes with the float, some kits do not have floats in them and the float must be bought as a seperate part if you need one.
Hi, could you please let me know how do i remove
Sir, there shoud be a just a nut to remove. Unless it has a soldered cap on the end? If so ... you have to be a little handy. You can use any type of small piping which will replace the old rod and just cut to size needed. You can drill a hole through and cotter pin to keep wheel on. (That's what I do... )
Hi,
I have a Dewalt pressure
There are two common issues that will cause what you are describing. What you need to do is run the machine until it dies as you are describing. Then pull the spark plug and check for spark. If you do not have spark you have a failing stater. It is very common for this problem to only show itself after the machine warms up. If you find that you do still have spark try removing the gas cap and restarting. It is also common for a vacuum lock to occur due to the seal on the gas tank cap. In most cases one of these will be your issue. If not feel free to contact me at 800.247.8103 and I will help you to troubleshoot the issue further.

Power washer will run fine for about 30 to 40
Sounds like a fuel problem eighter a filter or you have debrie in your fuel tank thats cloging the inlet from the tank to the carburtator . Its that or a problem with the water pump . That could also be clogging and putting exesive back prressure on the engine shaft causeing stalling . What dose your water flow look like do you loose that first before the engine starts to bog down or dose the engine go first and the pressure follow . Also do you winterize the mechine i owen and repair many washers if you need more info you need to give more pier_j
I need carburation
The Dewalt Part number for the carbarator is 285807-24 and costs 112.00 through DeWalt.
It can be ordered from them using this link:

Now, if you get me the Brand, Model, and Serial Number OFF THE MOTOR ITSELF, I'm sure we can find it cheaper, especially if this is a Honda.
I hope that helps.
Too much pressure.
You need to keep the trigger pulled every time you start and you need to run the water for 3-5 minutes wide open before you start. Zero air should be in the line or this could cause it to **** out. You probably damaged the pump at this point.
It just will not start
if it runs with starter fluid it can really be only 1 thing - carbureation (gas flow, fuel filter or pluged line
