Right click on file, i.e. your WORD doc file, select "open with", select "open with program" at end of listing, even if WORD appears, from the listing select WORD and checkmark where ir say "use always this program to open files". Repeat for each extension to updated correct associationAnother way might be Restore System to a point before this mismatch happened

Wireless radio off

Check the Device driver for the wireless card. If it is not installed the install the wireless card driver. The same model Lenovo can have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your Lenovo, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows device drivers for your model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true

Plugged in, not charging

Hi there,
there are 3 points of failure here, one is the battery so if you can try a known good battery then we'll be able to check if that's whats causing the problem.
The 2nd point of failure is the adapter it could be not giving enough output causing the battery not to charge. Try a different charger and see if that will work for you.
3rd point of failure would be a very bad news because it's the port where you plug the charger in the laptop as that would mean replacing the motherboard.
One thing you can try though but you would have to proceed at your own risk, is to flash the BIOS.
Download the latest bios from the support site of your computer manufacturer and after flashing see if there will be any changes. If none then there is a hardware problem with either one of the three I mentioned earlier.
Hope this helps!

Hi wael,

I see that you installed Win7 on your Lenovo but you are getting a recovery page when you got it started up.

It shows that Windows 7 did not install properly or may have encountered an error during the installation of Win7, try reinstalling Windows7 again or just run the recovery on the machine and insert the disc if the system asks for the disc to be inserted cause it may need some files to fix what ever error it may have experienced.

I hope this helps.

Have a nice day

KEYBOARD NOT FULLY WORKING SOME KEYS ARE WORKING

specify your complete problem what do you mean by my acer laptop is clicking ....

have you problem with your laptop power or OS failure??

check for warranty ..sometimes this happens cause of the voltage problem in your arrea??? check your charger for this

my second openion is

board is X3100 rite .. now check the RAM is it inserted properly , then check for the processor .. unplug it from frame and then insert again check if its not burned .. the chip on its upper level will be shinning and new if it isn't , if it is dark and burn-y type then your processor is out , there is always a power bulb in mother board,,, if it is on when you turn the laptop on then your main board is OK . and if its not then out of work .. sorry for that i am a professional at boards but sometime if you don't see a thing for your self ,things don't work,,,, it is this way ,no matter how much i try if you don't explain the things right to me i wont be able to figure it out . more over have you tried to plug it by VGA cable to a monitor or LCD..

about your issue first of all i wonder that Was the adapter you bought directly from Lenovo? I just know that dell builds in a chip to detect the adapter, some other adapter might work but it will burn down the board after quite some time . may be your another lap top didnt spend much time on that adapter ,
secondly

have you tried troubleshooting following steps , that may help resolve minor issues,

1. No LCD display but unit is actually powered ON
2. Laptop battery not charging
3. Keyboard not responding
4. windows no boot issue

here is answer to these all : take out the battery and unplugged the power adapter. press and hold the power button for 30 secs then release after 30secs. put the battery/adapter back in. issue above should be resolved. if fails, contact your computer's manufacturer thats the least i want to say , which is the first post i am not willing to say so for you i wish i could have helped.???

my second openion to you is I would say your laptop lcd and other parts are fine it is a mother board you require.
If you browse ebay there are lots to choose from at different prices. It is a straightforward job to replace .:)

You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the various driver files, they will then unzip and expand into a sub folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder (run the set-up file).

My laptop battery doesnot working.and

First of all, you need to make sure your power adapter is providing enough power to both run the laptop & charge the battery. A very good way to do this is to compare your laptop voltage & ampere requirements (written on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop) with the voltage & ampere ratings of the power adapter. Voltages should be the same, or the power adapter's voltage about up to 0.5 volts more than the laptop's voltage rating. Amperage of the power adapter should be at least equal to or greater than the laptop's rating. It should never be less than the laptop's rating, or else the power adapter will be providing insufficient amperes to charge the battery. Of course, the power adapter's nominal amperage might be ok, but it degraded on usage. You can verify this by testing using a good or new power adapter.
If the battery did not charge using the new power adapter, take the battery off the laptop, & using a dry tooth brush, scrub in between the fins of the battery connector on the motherboard & on the battery it self, then put the battery back into the laptop & try again.
If this still did not resolve the problem, then the battery itself could be bad. Try it on another laptop, or try a good or new battery in your laptop.
If this did not work, there might be a possibility that the charging circuitry on the laptop's motherboard is defective & needs servicing. In order to do this, the laptop needs to be disassembled & the motherboard checked for defective/burned out components in the area near the DC jack. Any defective/burned out components found should be replaced, or you might need to replace the laptop's motherboard altogether.

DC Jack diagnosis:
1. Test power adapter for output voltage. Bend the power cable in various directions while doing this to be sure that there is no broken conductors in the cable.
2. If power adapter is Ok, connect it & see if the power LED on the laptop will glow when you jiggle the power connector in various directions. If yes, then the DC jack might be loose or damaged, & need to be either re-soldered or replaced.
3. If not, then disassemble the laptop. Remove any components that attach to the laptop's motherboard first (e.g. battery, hard drive, RAM, wireless card, optical drive, ... etc.)
4. Next, remove the keyboard & the LCD screen.
5. Finally, unscrew all screws that hold the upper cover & lower cover together so that you could gain access to the motherboard.
6. Inspect the solder points connecting the DC jack to the motherboard. Make sure that none of them is loose. If any, re-solder them.
7. Inspect the center pin in the DC jack. Make sure that it is not broken or loose. If it is, then you might need to replace the DC jack.
8. When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.
