First, I'm NOT a Saeco technician, But I have worked on similar machines. Sounds like your pulling too large a puck (doing a double shot with a lot of coffee instead of pulling two separate shots.) * Grounds may be too large and taking up too much space for the group to compress properlly. You have to remove the coffee bean hopper, there are two screws on it. Below it is the grinder and there must be a rubber seal between them. Perhaps it is crooked or broken, and then the coffee beans pass and fall down.

generally when the pump wont prime this means you have to take the machine in to see a tech. with that being said, do you have the newelectronx 102? might be needed in case we need to open saeco. but lets try this first, your grind settings is too fine for the beans and machine combination. i would suggest go two notches coarser. then brew four times to clear through the mixture of the old and new grind settings. make sure your beans arent to oily. and do a weekly cleaning

At the top of the grup ther is a metal filter that close up (with dirt) and the coffee runs slow. Unscrew it and clean it up.

Hi,Please consider the following:1. Descaling (Machine should be descaled every after 3 months, every 500 brews, every time the machine prompts you to do so..(whichever comes first)..)2. Lubricate the brew unit / Clean the brew unit with running water3. Machine could be scaled up. clean the steam and coffee outlets then descale whole system.Other possible causes could be a faulty pressure pump.

i had a similar problem and found it was just a gasket on the boiler that wasnt sealing properly.i used JB WELD to repair mine.check all connections and/or gaskets for signs of leaks or possibly a broken gasket mating surface.
