Water is leaking from base of machine on water tank side. Water is also filling back catch tray and leaking from under central unit.
This happens when the boiler develops a leak, usually due to scale buildup. Order a new boiler and o-rings and replace.

My machine was going along fine this morning when suddenly it made a funny noise and then displayed ventilate. I can't find anything in the manual for ventilate so don't know what I should do. I turned machine off & totally cleaned it but still came up ventilate when I turned it back on. Please help
turn the hot water / steam knob on to 'ventilate' the pressure from the machine. The ventilate /overtemperature message will disappear when ready (few seconds usually)

I've had the machine for ` 2 years. A year ago, the machine stopped grinding the beans. The grinder goes, but something seems to be blocking the beans from getting into the grinder. I had it repaired a year ago, but now that shop does not work on home machines.
Everything else works, and I can make coffee by using the ground bean route.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
There's moisture in the grinder & it's clogged - just dismantle the grinder & clean it, then ensure you don't splash water into the bean hopper when you fill the water tank.

Hi, my machine is not working - the water light is flashing red. It is not like the steady light that indicates that you need to add water. This is a flashing red light and the water 'tank' is full. Turning on and off does not help. Nothing happens if pressing other buttons.
Pleas help,
Lavinia

The display on the machine says "coffee beans empty ready for use" There are beans, I have cleaned the machine, I push the selection and it hums away with no beans being ground. What is the problem and How do I fix it.? Thanks
Hi,
Make sure you not get any water in the grinder, if you got water in the grinder then you have to clean it.
You can try to set grinding to coarse and try to make 3 cup of coffee.

how do I descale the saeco magic deluxe coffee machine?
Hi,
Try this:
Standard descaling
Switch off the machine.
Pour a descaling product into the water tank.
Switch the machine on to the programming mode(see below). Place a large container under the steam/hot water dispensing tube and open the steam/hot water knob slowly, turning it counterclockwise.
Turn on the machine by pressing the main switch and let the descaling product flow out of the dispensing tube for approx. 1 min.
Close the knob again.
Turn off the machine with the main switch and let the solution take effect for approx. 5 minutes.
Repeat this procedure two or three times, to allow all of the descaling product in the water tank to flow out of the dispensing tube.
As soon as descaling has been carried out, rinse the tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
Switch on the machine and let fresh water (approx. 2 l) flow out of the steam/hot water dispensing tube in order to rinse away residue.
The machine is now ready for operation.
When the machine is on, the warning light switches off automatically, by pressing the steam selection button for at least 5 seconds.
To enter the programming mode, turn the machine
off with the main switch.
Press steam , espresso coffee and the
main switch at the same time.
Release the buttons.
Hope this will help you.

the red light that looks like a panel with cut water-drops turned on recently, I suppose indicating that my saeco magic de luxe espresso machine needed descaling. I suppose this because I lost my instruction booklet. So I proceeded to descale my machine with a special solution I bought at starbucks. the light did not go off after the first descaling, so I did it again, and again. I ran out of solution and the f%&!"... light won't go off. The machine is still working, but the coffee has a bitter taste in it after being rinsed 3 times. Is there something you recommend? Juan
The button to push was the steam button and hold for 5 to 10 seconds until the light goes out.

Ciao Adriano
