Hitachi NR65AK Round Head 1-1/2-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch Positive Placement Nailer - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Replacement Parts
A lot of the compressors I have had were discontinued before I ever received them. I know what ordering the right part can be like. If you can give me a description of what the part does or where it is located I will brain storm with you to find a work around. If you leave a comment it will email me.
Where is the restart button on a ec12 hitachi compresor
I have seen two locations over the years including incorporated within the field coils. If not under the shroud mounted to metal frame, it is located on the shroud very visible. If yours is not visible , then most likely in windings. This internal reset will cut out on high heat , then reconnect after cool down. Can't rush cool down. Motor will overheat on low power / long or too thin power cord. If reset does not cut back in, then reset probably burned-out. It is not ment to be replaced but not impossible. The motor can be taken apart and reset removed and breaker installed on shroud. Good luck
What type of lube oil for my hitachi brad nailer
Needs very little oil, just few drops of sewing machine oil or nail gun oil sold at lowes or home depot. Purchase smallest size bottle of Paslode or bostitch nail gun oil (most likely they will not have hitachi oil). Do not by air tool oil as this oil is for air powered impact etc. Good luck
Spring for nail clips in Hitachi framing nailer
I usually order the springs from
WWW.toolpartsdirect.com. Not expensive but shipping fee is about 8.95 if you order one part or many. Also check with nail or fastener companies in your area. If you buy nails from them they will give you a spring. To install spring check this forum for very good explanation. Good luck
Air leak from back of gun after rebuild
Hitachi nailers cycle the whole cylinder as the air valve when gun fires. The orings are most likely too tight around the cylinder. Easy to check. Remove the head and depress the cylinder with thumbs and cylinder should pop back up. If the cylinder is down pull it back up and reinstall head. The hack method to get the cylinder up is to rap the gun head against hard rubber pad (with head installed and air connected). If cylinder moves down then up, most likely head valve gaskets (under headvalve ) or headvalve itself or top of cylinder damaged. Good luck
Why doesn't myCordless finish nailer not firing all the time
With the cordless nailers the problem is almost always bad fuel. When the pressure is low you don't get enough fuel by depressing it once, it may take two or three before it will fire. Just because you just bought it doesn't mean it's good - check the expiration date stamped on the bottom of the cylinder.
There are also other problems - worn O-rings, bad spark wire, bent contact element that won't let the cylinder move all the way up to make the head switch to name a few.
Nv45ab won't advance nails
The allen screw/s that you mention are there to plug holes where automatic equipment would normally connect (such as automatic nailing machines) . This is only a plug and should not be driven in too far. I have also seen allen screws installed in the head to repair small crack/s.
