I cannot connect my HTC legend to Mercedes Benz car kit

When you state that they will "pair but not connect" does this refer to incoming calls, outgoing ones, or both?

Unfortunately ALL current HTC's have a very crippled Bluetooth chipset fitted and this may be the cause of your problem. For example, none of them (Windows Mobile included) are capable of handsfree Bluetooth voice dialling and this is particularly bad given that WinMo is very strongly featured with voice commands and many HTC models from about three/four years ago had these features as standard. The crippled chipset also means that until very recently, most HTC models could not use Bluetooth to transfer files of any kind, but some models such as the Hero have recently had an update to allow limited functionality in this respect.

I can't state with certainty that the problem you have is to do with the poor Bluetooth chipset which HTC currently appear to be contractually obliged to use, but it's a definite possibility. What is definite is that it's not an Android issue (although Android current and planned releases do not yet incorporate Bluetooth voice dialling either, but that's not an issue when you're using the car to handle the calls).

If you can add details of the exact make and model of your vehicle then I'll try to look into this further for you: it's also not uncommon for vehicle manufacturers to install poorly chosen Bluetooth chipsets and sometimes the cause is a simple case of Brand A simply being unable to get along with Brand B. If you're in a real hurry to resolve this, then definitely change your handset, but insist on being able to try the replacement out with your car before committing to it.

Across the board, Bluetooth on many phones seems to have regressed and is poorer than it was a few years ago. Even the i-Phone is very poor except for the flagship 3GS but even that model is *very* picky about which brands it will usefully work with. Currently, the best and most reliable Bluetooth in my opinion and experience is in the Blackberry range of handsets. If you don't want one covered in buttons then go for the Storm 2 touchscreen. It's not as fun a gadgety as the HTC and Apple models, but is a good solid performer and does everything a phone/mobile browser needs to do very competently.

Hi, I got my HTC smart

I had the very same problem with a Sandisk 8GB microSD card. After upgrading to the latest ROM (I upgraded to version 1.0.405.109663 - offered for download in the Europe Global page) the problem just went away. However DO backup at least your contacts before the upgrade, as this will factory reset your phone.

Hello, seems that my usb connector

USB uses the standard terminals- however I would recommend getting your phone serviced/replaced by the carrier. If the USB controller has failed, that could be a sign that there are more components failing- NEVER a good sign. Also, the phone should be able to sync with a PC- if it does not have that capability- you will not be able to reflash the phone- again even more argument to go to your carrier. All phones have warranty for component failure- you can likely get a replacement at no charge. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/susan_42b401e0b1603d8a

How can i transfer my contacts from nokia phone to my HTC Touch

There are few tools to have. A usb cord, your PC has Bluetooth and pair with you N51 via bluetooth. Have the free software, "Nokia PC Suite". Download it from www.nokiausa.com/PCsuite. It's a free download. Once downloaded, restart your computer. (without the phone connected) Connect. It'll give you easy step by step instructions to transfer contacts to the computer. Plus, other multimedia you may have on your device. Very handy!! Then, just use Active Sync or any software you got with your HTC Touch HD. It can sync you contacts from Outlook onto the new phone. This is nice, in case your phone would crash, break, or the worse stolen. Your contacts are all backed up on the PC.
Always take a look at www.htcwiki.com for the best tips & tricks for your HTC device and software updates. A lot of times they will even post known issues and work arounds.

I need unlock code for htc hd2

As you have not specified in particular what is the unlock code required for you, i am giving the ways to unlock all the codes

NETWORK UNLOCK CODE:

You can unlock it by flashing your mobile if your mobile is a CDMA mobile...
The procedure for flashing your mobile is in the link below
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Flash-your-cell-phone
It has an video explanation.

If your mobile is not an CDMA mobile , you can get the network unlock code(NUC) by just contacting the current network provider customer care department. It is free of cost.

The restriction code can be got from your old service provider..This restriction code is kept to prevent someone who stole the mobile from using it with another provider...

They will have a security check done with your date of birth etc..to verify whether you are the exact owner of the phone..

After that they will provide you the restriction code to unlock it and use it with another service provider..

It is all free of cost do not pay anyone for this seeing some advertisement over internet . That is all fake ads.

The above procedure works and you can verify that by seeing the rating of an happy customer here..
http://www.fixya.com/support/t4979448-need_unlock_motorola_razor_v3_from_optus

PUK CODE:

PUK code can be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number.
Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no. If you cant contact through your phone get some other phone and contact them.
Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.
There is no other go than the above procedure only your service provider can give it nobody else in this world nor any software.
Go to the below link and you can confirm that the above procedure works and there is a testimonial given by the customer too. http://www.fixya.com/support/t3079596-sking_puk_code

PIN CODE:

HI If you are asking for pin contact your service provider , he will give you a default pin .

If you try pin more than few predefined no of times your phone will ask PUK code which can also be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number . Do not try PUK(new pin code) code many times or else your sim will be blocked and you will need a new sim.

Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no.
Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.
There is no other go than the above procedure only your service provider can give it nobody else in this world nor any software.

SECURITY CODE:

If it is lost nothing can be done. You need to flash your mobile at an authorized service center which will reset the mobile memory and also all the data inside the mobile will be lost.

A helpful rating and an testimonial would be greatly appreciated if you are satisfied with the solution i have posted.
