I was given a Tissot

If it is the eta 2824-2 model. When you say the hands don't turn, I take it it does not work? its an automatic so needs wrist/ hand movement to wind the rotor. You can manually wind the watch by simply turning the crown (without pulling the crown out) Try doing this first.

Hello i have replaced the battery on my tissot t touch expert & display not working? Any suggestions. Battery was completely dead before change?

If the battery was dead too long the fumes from the battery might have damage the electronics and that's not good it will have to go back to tissot for a new movement What I'm going to tell u is very inportant. Never let a watch set dead I don't care if it's a windup or an automatic or even a battery watch. U must always keep the running because all the lubriactions will set up and not performed properly. Just like a car setting dead too kind In ur case the battery has cause the problem Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gerald_b9936683ef6d97c6

I have a Tissot 1853 Model No:T52148131, I want to know what battery type to use, because I lost the old one?

Sorry I can't directly answer your question. There are a limited number of batteries that fit watches and the quality of the battery is the most important to provide a good lifespan and be less likely to leak. Anyone who regularly replaces watch batteries will instantly know which type fits so I suggest you visit your local friendly watch and clock repairer who will fit a quality battery and replace the O ring if needed and all for a nominal fee. If local traders aren't used they will be lost.

Does the Tissot PR516 T044.417.21.051.00 use a battery? My second hand is not moving when i start the timer and the night vision is terrible.

Yes, it does require a battery. I believe a 394 is the correct one to fit, but I'd suggest you took it to a professional rather than attempt a battery change yourself. I hope this helps.

Bought my tissot watch on 23 rd May. As I am new so I am really confused because the date is changing at 12 :30 am instead of 12 am. The model is T033210 A. Is it faulty ?

I see this is a Tissot 1853 watch. As you bought it very recently, I would expect a good quality watch like yours to change date soon after midnight. However, it's probably not faulty. There are many watches that don't show the correct date until as late as about 2 am. If it really bothers you, the you would need to get the hands reseated so that the watch shows midnight when the date change occurs. This is not an easy job, and best left to a professional. My advice would be to ignore it if the watch is otherwise performing OK.

I took my Tissot automatic PSC 200 in for service and the repair shop said it is a fake because it has plastic parts. He said a watch of tis quality doesn't use plastic parts in it.

Not entirely true. Most watches in a range will be assembled with a standard-sized time mechanism. So the manufacturer can "Bulk-out" the mechanism with a plastic housing to get it to sit into the bigger watch enclosures. I have several Tissot's, so I change the batteries myself. A few have plastic frames to bed-in the mechanism. You'd need to move to high end ($5k-10k+) watches to avoid plastic. A PSC200 retails for around $1000? There are a few basic checks you can do to re-assure yourself that its legit. (1) Did it come in the standard Tissot box, complete with history booklet, warranty booklet and stamped retailers warranty card? (2) Is there an engraved/embossed Tissot detail on the back cover, with model number, , sometimes a collection serial number, waterproof details etc. (3) Is the face scratch-proof crystal or does it sound thin and cheap when you tap it? (4) Are the second / minute markers and fractional-second markers clearly defined, or are they a cheap and blurry paint job? (5) Are the minute and second hands precision cut, with crisp sharp edges, or are the pressed tin with 'soft' rounded edges? (6) Does it have tiny but clearly legible "Swiss Made" text around the 6 O'Clock position? If you're concerned, bring it to another Tissot retailer and ask them to check it out. They would be more familiar with the Tissot range and manufacturing techniques.

I bought a Tissot prc 200 quartz chronograph a month ago and it suddenly stopped working. Can someone please tell me what's the problem?

Well, I go to a jewelry shop called fast fix and purchased a "forever battery " most obvious answer is that the battery is simply dead. Second, there may be debris in the clockwork, which will also kill the battery. Good thing about the forever battery method is that they will clean out the watch for free usually, which saves on them replacing the battery.

Date change

Hi. I take it that your watch changes date at 12 noon, instead of 12 midnight. If so change the time of your watch 12 hours, so it reads the same time, but instead of am, it is pm, or visa versa. Analog watches do not have a 24 hour time setting.

Tissot classic xxl date issues

I do not think there is anything you can to it to make it change date at exactly 00:00 hours (your time). Unless you want to consider this a major defect and send it for repairs. In my opinion it is an idiosyncrasy that one can live with.

Prc 200 needing battery replaced every week!!! i

Your watch is draining the charge on the battery. It is possible that you have a bad coil or circuit block that is causing the battery to die. An acceptable battery should last you at least 9 months to a year. You need to send your watch in to the manufacturer to have them fix the motor.
