2005 dodge dakota 4.7 4x4, service engine light is on steady, there's a miss when ideling or driving slow, when I accelerate the light blinks and the miss seems to vanish. Please advise

You need to go to a parts house and have them read the codes. Most do this at no charge. A blinking service engine light indicates that a problem exists that can cause engine damage. For example, if a spark plug is miss firing it could damage the catalytic converter. The steady light indicates that a code has been recorded.

Unless you know a whole lot about diagnosing and rebuilding transmissions, you need to get it to a qualified transmission shop. From your description, the only external checks are to see if the driveshafts are securely installed, and see if there is any evidence of excessive transmission fluid leaks.

Find your nearest autozone or auto parts store most will put there scanner on your car for free .they will retreve the code and will than have an idea what part or parts your car needs if this was helpful please leave me good feedback.

Sounds like a drive shaft U-Joint or a brake noise.

When the engine light blinks, ( approx. 2 times per second ), it's warning that the catalytic converter is at risk of severe damage.
You really need to get the vehicle checked very soon

is the check engine light blinking? if so have it tested for codes, Kragen auto and others do this test for free, just ask for a OBD2 fault code test. let me know the results and we can work from there.

if you correct the miss the trans will shift correctly, the engine miss set a trouble code, that will ID the cylinder that is missing, have the trouble codes tested

Switch the plug with # 5 and coil with # 3 and see where the miss goes, then replace the part you moved to that cyl.

might be something simple as a wiring problem.. or the truck isnt producing the ryte amount a fuel pressure
