Valve clearances for a 1976 R75/7 are

Inlet = .004" and Exhaust = .008"

Remember to re-torque the heads prior to adjusting the valves.

Have you checked the valve clearances and rocker arm end play?? Do you know how to check/adjust the valve clearances?

That would be your first step, then if still noisy on startup only changing the cam chain tensioner would be the next logical step.

the 0.3mm means use thicker gasket if your heads been shaved.valve clearance is 0.012 for intake 0.012 for exhaust valves.what type of oil you using.if your oil is too thick it make valve noise.if adjusting valves dont help your lifters probably worn.
