Does the 1977 engine require leaded gas
this is a very old bike so its most likley to need some leaded fule in it at some time however i know a lot of people who run old cars that should be run on leaded fule but they put un-leaded fule in them my old ford van (30 years old) ran for 5 years on un-leaded,,what we all do is put some two stroke oil in the fule that give's it some lub we put in 5ml per gall, of two stroke oil and thats fine then the "AA" and the "RAC" both told us to do this and its a lot cheaper than lead substitute, i realy think that your BMW boxer was made to run on un-leaded fule anyhow and if you wont to run it on un-leaded you can, if you run 1 tank of leaded first you can then put in 3 tanks of un-leaded before another tank of leaded thats all it will ever need, but if your realy botherd drop BMW an e-mail and ask them

Your charging system should be checked. It should put out 13-14.5 volts to charge the battery. How is you battery? Does it run down a lot? If so its because the battery system is not getting charged. Try changing the voltage regulator first then look at a burned stator.
Coupling is stuck / sticks together
Is the bike shooting forward while you have the clutch lever pulled in or when you let it out? If it's when you let it out you have to do it slower and roll on the accelerator so that it doesn't stall.
If you have the clutch lever all of the way in and it shoots forward you may need to see a mechanic...
I'm sorry if this doesn't help much.

Fuse for the headlights for 650 BMW 2008
On a 2008 BMW 650i, the fuse for the headlights is located in the fuse box under the hood. The specific fuse you need is Fuse #61, which is a 20-amp fuse located in the third row of fuses from the top.
To access the fuse box, open the hood and locate the black plastic cover on the right side of the engine bay. There should be a diagram on the underside of the cover showing the layout of the fuses. Once you've found the correct fuse, you can use a fuse puller or a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove it from the fuse box.
It's always a good idea to check the owner's manual for your specific vehicle to get the most accurate and up-to-date information on the location and function of the various fuses.
