SOURCE: bike wont start.good spark to plugs.fuel pump

i have the same bike try this. Firstly check the fuel is fairly fresh, using premium fuel on this model seems to work well. drain a little fuel from each carb to remove poss water build up and get fresh fuel. if spark plugs over 6 months old or over 5000 miles change as zxrs` eat plugs a spark does not mean it is allways good. i have changed to irridium plugs and have not had problems since . before you take out plugs turn over the engine a few times then when you remove each plug they should be wet ,if one is dry no fuel so clean carb, remove plug caps before you do this and note exact location of each.good luck Bri.

SOURCE: My zephyr 1100 has no spark at the plugs.

Im not sure of the exact wiring , but the side switch doesnt cut the motor in neutral, so it loops through the neutral light.
You said front brake switch has 12 v, this is correct.
There is another switch on the clutch, which also works in conjunction with the side stand.
I would be checking the ignition and kill switches

Whirlpool SC8720EDB cooktop stove independent vent switch is not starting downdraft exhaust fan, but the exhaust fan works fine when left side burners were turned on

Can you get to the switch terminals and try jumping them out with a piece of insulated wire? That would tell you if the switch is defective (my suspicion). Please be careful not to touch any live terminals - only the wire insulation you use for the jumper.

Hi, I've got a 2002 XT600E. Neutral switch/Side Stand Switch both stopped working.

If you don't want to do an oil change, leaning the bike over a little should work. The best way to tell, if the manual is not clear and if the oil level is checked with a site glass, is if the switch is above or below the glass. The neutral switch itself is in a "wet" area and if the gasket is a crush gasket you'll need to replace it with a new one anyway.

2008 Hyosung GT650S I think my side stand relay is causing my bike not to start. The Stator was replaced recently and the battery seems to be holding a charge fine. Sometimes the bike just won't...

What I would suggest then is to bridge the side stand switch. If the switch stays open circuit, it will never start but if you bridge the wires before the switch then the bike should start and have now solved the problem for the interim or you if it does not start you know you have to look elsewhere.

Please get back if you require anything else or give favorable feedback.

Thank you

1987 honda 600, starts fine, as soon as you try to get it in gear stops, thought was clutch, but with motor off, 1st gear with clutch applied the bike can be pushed easily.... what it can be? electrical?/

IT MAYBE THE SIDE STAND SAFETY SWITCH HAS GONE FAULTY, COMBINED WITH A SWITCH ON THE CLUTCH LEVER, IT IS DESIGNED TO SAVE YOU RIDEING OF WITH THE STAND DOWN CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STOP WHEN YOU SELECT A GEAR, I WOULD 1STL CHECK THE WIRES LOCATED CLOSE TO THE CLUTCH LEVER FOR CONDITION AND CONECTIVITY, SECONDLY CHECK THAT THE SWITCH LOCATED BY THE SIDE STAND IS NOT STICKING IN WITH DRY GREASE OR DIRT, WITH THE STAND IN THE UP POSITION GENTLY PULL THE PLUNGER OUT ALL THE WAY TILL IT STOPS, START THE ENGINE AND SEE IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS, YOU COULD THEN TRY DISCONECTING THE SWITCH AND BRIDGING THE WIRES LOOM SIDE.TO ELIMENATE THE SWITCH

Stand switch

Sound like the sidestand switch. Follow the wires from the switch to where they can be unplugged, and jumper together the ends on the bike side, not the stand side, this should over-ride the switch to see if it fixes the problem. If it does, the switch is bad.

Engine Stalls when put in Gear, Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K3 (2003)

Most of the safety systems use a diode pack in the loom to stop clutch and side stand switch etc from back feeding each other. Maybe this has failed. If not could it be in the loom, a broken or shorted wire. Look for a tight bend in the route the loom runs and external damage to the tape.

Bike shuts off when in gear

hello and welcome
it seems that you may have a faulty side stand switch. the side stand needs to be in the up position before the bike can be started off in gear. but if not the side stand contains a saftety switch that shuts the bike off when put into gear. to verify this you can check for spark when the bike is being turned over in gear with the clutch held in.
there should be two wires associated with this switch. a green, and green with white. so when the stand is up these two wires are connected, and the switch can be tested as such. thank you.
