I have a whirlpool flat top stove on the big front burner switch what colors go we're like the h1 h2 and the rest that hooks up

Here is a disassembly video. A loose knob problem can be tackled by pulling off the knob, encircling the cracked plastic with a zip tie (after putting Loctite glue in the cracks), pulling the zip tight. Don't lose the sleeve when you pull off the knob. l means locked hold two left buttons at same time or the two right buttons or the bottom two buttons or top two buttons should solve your problem you have to do it prety quick or the computer thinks a child is trying to turn on the appliance

Take a look at them and see if one matches. best to you.

It sounds like the selector switch is shorted, the only way to fix that is to replace the switch always unplug electricity before working on any electrical appliance

Cleaning or replacing the grease filters in downdraft vent hood

Can you get to the switch terminals and try jumping them out with a piece of insulated wire? That would tell you if the switch is defective (my suspicion). Please be careful not to touch any live terminals - only the wire insulation you use for the jumper.
