1994 Honda VT 600 C Shadow Questions & Answers
Lights went out on my 94 Shadow 600?
probably a fuse but you will need to check the wiring for faults as in bare wires or around the steering head because of the left and right motion that can put stress on connections ,pinch wires ,or stretch them

Pull the left and right covers out of the rubber grommets on
both sides of the motorcycle's frame. Pull the rubber strap off the
tool kit holder on the left side of the motorcycle and remove the tool
kit.

Locate the fuse box on the right side of the motorcycle,
just above the battery. Remove the pair of bolts that secure the fuse
box to the battery box with a 10 mm socket. Pull the fuse box away from
the battery box.

Reach into the left side of the frame to access the
battery's negative terminal. Unscrew the negative wire lead bolt from
the battery's negative terminal with a 10 mm wrench. Pull the negative
wiring lead away from the battery.

Reach into the right side of the frame and remove the
positive wiring lead bolt from the battery's positive terminal with a 10
mm wrench. Pull the positive wiring lead away from the battery.

Pull the battery out of the battery box from the right side
of the motorcycle. Slide a new YTX9-BS battery into the battery box,
positioning the battery's positive terminal to the right of the
motorcycle. Reconnect the wiring leads to the battery's terminals,
connecting the negative lead first followed by the positive lead.
Tighten the lead bolts with a 10 mm wrench.

Reattach the fuse box to the battery and tighten both bolts
with a 10 mm socket. Place the right side cover over the frame. Push the
cover's tabs into the frame's rubber grommets.

Place the tool kit into the tool kit holder on the left side
of the motorcycle. Pull the rubber strap over the tool kit and hook the
end of the strap onto the holder's catch tab. Place the left side side
cover over the frame. Push the cover's tabs into the frame's rubber
grommets.
Will idle but dies when
fuel filter partial blockage is quite likely, failing that check carb jets, hope this helps good luck.
