My son has 2009 silverado extended cab with 22000 miles, he left his amp on and the battery went dead, so I took my 2009 silverado and tried to jump it. When I turned the key on the display lit up but once...

When a battery is totally dead a jump start will take time. The dead battery needs to come back up to at least 8 volts before it will start. Leave you jumper cables hooked up for a half hour or so and try again. What you really need is a battery charger, even once you get it running the alternator is going to have to run for a really long time to fully charge this battery. Also, you should be able to connect the amp to go off with the deck, it's a little more work but it is well worth the effort.

2003 Honda Accord. Dies when I try to put it in drive

you are having a problem with your alternator. the battery has a main purpose to start the vehicle, keep computer memory, and give power to electrical components when the key is in the on position. the alternator charges the battery and gives power to electrical components when the vehicle is running. now when you hit the brakes there was an extra load added to the alternator and if the car died then the alternator is running very weak and needs to be relace.

Battery went dead in 2000 honda civic EX, radio now dead after battery replaced

you will probably need a activation code to get it to work again.

If you bought the car new then you should have a "credit card" size paper with the code on it, they don't put them in owners manuals so, don't look there, if you can't find it or you purchased this car second hand, the you will have to go to the local dealership and show proof that you own the car and they will get the code for you from their head quarters.
