Hi, i have a kawasaki 300 bayou.cleaned carb, new cdi. starts and idles great but when you try to give it some throttle it just starts popping and back firing. is it spark or fuel?
No guarantees but try this. Pull the slide from the throat of the carb. Now move the clip on the jet needle down one notch. This will richen the low end mix. Two notches may be needed but do one notch at the start.
I am working on a 300 bayou , it's been siting for a few years so i cleaned the carb. it was clean and looked good , but it will start and idle rough for a second or 2 and it pops . i checked the timing it was good. what now?
