this video's may help you with you're problem. \/
Also for pulling the bearing out of the axle I recommend a bearing puller set you can buy cheep online and rent a slide hammer from most auto shop's another video about the tool. \/
and use a socket that has the same outer diameter as the bearing to install.
If the rear axle is not the same please disregard this
but the video may still give you some insight as of whats ahead.

Also check to see if your rpm are too high...

if its a light ticking noise it may be your valve train, if its a heavier knock it would most likely be your bottom end, crank/bearings etc...

What type of fluid do you have in there? in some cases we have put synthetic or oils with additives and it has caused the plates to slip.

kawasaki 2004... | Answered on Jan 02, 2019

valves make a ticking noise, knocking comes from your bottom end (crank bearings etc). try a thicker oil and see if it changes anything

I had a similar problem. pull start worked no problem, and starter only sometimes. turns out the starting system as a whole (starter, old wires, solenoid etc) were drawing so much power that it wasn't allowing much for power for the coil and spark. it was too weak

Had a similar problem, I rebuilt the carb and fixed any gaps/cracks in the intake boots and carb-engine gasket. runs ok now

One is on the right side of the engine and the other is on the frame rail by your left toe

kawasaki 2004... | Answered on Jan 02, 2019

follow it until you find the short. the wire may have rubbed raw against a metal part. Happens a lot. remove the fuse and put an ohm meter to the frame and to either side of the wire where the fuse mounts. It will tell you which direction from that point to follow

kawasaki 2004... | Answered on Jan 02, 2019

It should be on the frame rail by your left toe

Possible vacuum or intake leak

kawasaki 2004... | Answered on Jan 02, 2019

Your alternator/regulator/rectifier is blown or a bad connection within these components

kawasaki 2004... | Answered on Jan 02, 2019

Sounds like a vacuum leak or something is binding open. Spray ether or brake klean around all connections to see if there are any leaks and/or open it up again and check for sticking parts or misplaced springs

kawasaki 2004... | Answered on Jan 02, 2019

Make sure the needle/seat spring is still there. also make sure your fuel filter is clean enough to keep up to your carb's new thirst

kawasaki 2004... | Answered on Jan 02, 2019

The first things I would check are seized brakes and then transmission condition/fluids. The auto has 2 clutches I believe. Make sure everything is full on fluids
