I have a 2006 cobalt SS 2.4L non supercharged . The problem is that the ck engine light is on and the TC light is on and they are making the car shift really hard . I pulled the DTC and got 3 codes/ P0010, P0106, P2A01 I think that it is a bad camshaft actuator but not Sher.

What engine is in my chevy cobalt

The Cobalt’s LS, LT and LTZ sedan share a 2.2-litre Ecotec inline four-cylinder. The SS uses the 2.4-litre, while the SS Supercharged coupe carries a 2.0-litre Ecotec with supercharger.

"TC off" light comes on sometimes and stays on

You may have a brake caliper sticking causing the sensor to trigger. This would also partially explain the hard shifting if the E-brake is dragging.

Transmission issues

Check the brake fluid level in the slave cylinder first If low you will not be able to shift..If you have to fill it, pump it for 30 to 40 times to prime with the engine off. Then check the fluid again. If full start and see if it shifts. If it leaks out the slave cylinder or line is leaking

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS ,supercharger maintenance 2.0L five spee

I use 5W30 Mobile 1 synthetic-5 quarts.

The air filter change is a real pain.
Remove driver side tire.
Remove driver side wheel well.
You will see the filter canister in the front of the wheel well.

I had a mechanic do it for me and it took him 1.5 hours. If you plan to do it yourself, be sure you have plenty of time and alot of patience.
