SOURCE: Toyota 22r starts hard and floods. Repalced

It sounds like the carb. float is set to high and /or the needle and seat has some dirt in it allowing to much fuel inside the carb.. This will allow to much fuel into the engine. It seems the carb could use a rebuild and dont forget to replace your fuel filter.I hope this helps.

Hard cold start , coolant temp replaced , start injecter rigged with remote switch , it still floodes out

If you disconnect the wiring for the injector and it still floods, the injector is usually stuck open.

Will start, but floods out and won't run

wow, great post, (no location stated sadly, you in Nunavut?)
floods, a clear hard piece of evidence. bravo, and helps...
fuel soaked spark plugs.
if tuned up and , compression is 150,psi not 90 x4.
and spark is strong, then and only then is it a fueling problem.

ill assume you read the op guide and used the unflood method/
stated in glove box manual?
no, then use WOT TO START THE ENGINES.
wot, wide open throttle, (yes, right foot to floor)
this act cuts all fuel injections. and must start
if not , no spark.
if the egr is leaking , it will be hard to start, do the 50k service on it.
if the ISC is stuck closed, it will be hard to start and flood (no air)
so use just 10% throttle , acting as sort of a human ISC
start now?
that is just the tip of ice berg.
here is more flooding.
all ways, i think are here

Have a test done on the glo-plug system as it appears that they have burnt out and are not pre-heating the cylinders or providing a source of ignition for the atomised fuel from the injectors

Flooding hard to start

If it is flooding you have to open the throttle and it will start easier. check the fuel regulator it may be bad. also you may want to replace the spark plugs as they will get fouled out

454 ci gm turns over hard backfires timing ok acts flooded

Check fuel pressure, and regulator. A leaking regulator gives a warm engine more fuel [ it does not like it] a cold motor does. same as a flooded motor. Good luck

95 Bonneville won't start when hot

Yes I know, but If you hold the accelerator pedal to the floor on a fuel injected car, the Throttle position sensor will tell the computer to enter clear flood mode. Then the computer will shut off the fuel injectors while you have the pedal to the floor. If it is flooded, you should be able to get it started in clear flood.

Hard to start. Almost sounds like a flooded car

I believe that your fuel pump is dying. Sometimes they don't just dye immediately. Your problem sounds like your engine is starving for fuel. You can tell by doing a fuel preasure test. Good Luck Friend.
