There is an A/C compressor fuse, but chances are that your system is low on freon. You have a low pressure switch located in the suction side of the system, usually right around the accumulator, that only allows the compressor to run if it registers a certain amount of pressure in the system.

Did you check the fuses on your mystery vehicle? How about the refrigerant gas pressures, low side and high side?

There's only one evaporator core, so if you're getting cold on one side and not the other, then the blend door isn't working on the warm side. The actuator motor may be working but the door might not be moving.

did you turn the dimmer switch all the way up?

yes but if the fuse is not bad then it is a blown bulb. pull the insterment panel aff dash and locat the blown light. replace and have fun

Open the front passenger door and you see a fuse panel on the side of the dash and take off that cover.

White smoke is coolant getting into the engine cylinder and sounds like a gasket blew!

Follow the sway bar from left to right and locate the bolts and unbolt them. Replace the bushings before replacing the new sway bar.
