Sounds like it could be the ignition module. How you check for this problem depends on what type of system that you have. Does the engine have a distributor? If it does, then disconnect the coil wire if it has one and install a spark tester which is available at most part stores. If it does not have a coil wire then find the tach terminal located on the distributor and connect a test light between that terminal and ground. The spark tester should spark while cranking and the test light should blink while cranking. If they don't, then replace the ignition module. The spark tester can also be used on one of the spark plug wires for distributorless ignition systems.

My 1986 chevy van g20 cranks but wont start no fire replaced cap, rotor and coil .

I would suggest changing the pickup in the bottom of the distributor. Also crank the engine with the cap off of the distributor and make sure that the rotor bug is turning and make sure there is 12v at the coil with the key on.

Getting gas and fire but just turnes over like there is no fire at all

which engine, they work different.
you saw gas where.?
you saw fuel where??
you saw something turn, what?
try this.
it cranks robustly (250RPM = robust)?
the engines cranks over, (i see pulley spin fast on crank)?
the engine fails to start and to RUN (sustained).?
you lost spark to 4 or 6 clingers, all are dead spark?
so you place the diagnostic jumper wire and crank for
5seconds
and release the key,
got DTC error codes, bingo.
if not bad spark is bad coil or bad ignitor that drives said coil.

next is fueling but above is all first.
fuel is always LAST. (ECU cuts fuel for many reasons) ask.

Power to red wire on coil no power to distributor wires

Yes the crank sensor could keep the coil from firing, but your truck does not use a crank sensor assuming its a V8.
The coil gets power from the key switch, and the ignition module inside the distributor grounds the coil to fire it.
So the problem could be the coil, or the module or pickup in the distributor. The pickup coil in the bottom of the distributor acts as a cam and crank sensor.
You may need a repair book or shop manual to get the test procedures.

I have 98 s 10 blazer have re place fuel filter, had fouel injection cleaned via fuel rail ,replaced plugs wires rotor and cap .first start is always hard and advice

Sounds like the fuel pressure doesn't build up right away, before you crank the engine, just cycle the key from off to run position a couple times to allow the fuel pump to build pressure and then crank...if this still doesn't work, hook a set of jumper cables up to it and then crank...the extra voltage will allow the pump run faster and may fire right off....if this helps in starting, i would suspect a weak fuel pump.

Will not start appears that coil does not fire coil replaced

If you have no spark, chances are it's the TFI ignition module. To narrow it down, turn the key on. The check engine light should be on. Now, crank the engine for a couple seconds while watching the check engine light. If it goes out while cranking, the pickup coil is good and the signal is reaching the processor. Most likely, this means it's the ignition module.

Vehicle Won't Start

The solution to this problem was simple, embarrasing and frustrating. The dome light was left on, and discharged the battery....enough to prevent the ignition from firing apparently. I did not suspect this, because the starter would turn the engine over very well, for a long time, and would do this repeatedly. In all my experience, I have never seen an engine spin that well and not start. According to the dealer, the voltage was too low for the ignition to work. While I do not know the exact threshhold where the voltage is too low to crank, I could have detected the condition by checking the voltage at the battery while cranking. It should have been significantly below 12 volts, indicating a low battery. The tow truck driver who picked it up simply used a portable battery to jump it off and cranked it with no problem. The symptom of the starter continuing to run after releasing the key is new technology with computerized controls, and is normal nowdays. You don't really notice this because the engine usually fires so quickly that it is undetectable.

No spark

Sounds like a bad ignition switch It when the switch is in crank mode it should supply power to the run position as well but if gets worn the contact will not spread power across
