You must take the car to a Volvo dealer so they can reference the code from the VIN number. If you call it in, they only assume you stole the radio. Sometimes you have to prove you own the car.

These models had a problem with the electronic control modules, and this is what controls the idle speed. Sometimes they just need to be cleaned, but sometimes they are defective. Volvo has extended the warranty on some of them to 10 years or 200,000 miles if it is found to be defective.

your going to have to call up your local volvo dealer and give them your vin number and they can look it up for you. You can try using radio-code.com but i wouldnt recomend it. Your best bet is calling your local volvo dealer and they will help you out.
