Most of the time, this vibration is caused by warped brake rotors.
It's also possible that the steering or suspension joints are worn.
These should be checked when the brakes are inspected.

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram and I have a deceleration jump/vibration at around 50-40 mph. When the brake is lightly applied it happens, when heavy brake applied it stops. I'm thinking front whell bearings

The front rotors are warped, the reason you feel it when lightly braking is because the pads are just brushing the high spots as they come by. Heaving braking will lock them in tighter and you will not notice it. They have to take the rotors off to turn them so they can check the wheel bearings at the same time and replace or pack them. Just have the rotors turned if they are not worn under the federal limits. If they are worn too bad you will have to replace them.

Buick lesabre starts vibrating at 45 mph and stops around 55 mph...the steering wheel does not shake much but you can feel it vibrating just the same.....had new tires put on and balanced for the 2nd...

A vibration such as you are talking about could be caused by more then one thing. First it could be caused by a broken belt in one of your tires. I could also be caused by a bent rim, a warped rotter, or a bad cv joint. I hope this helps you solve your problem.

The car has a serious front end/steering wheel vibrations when accelerating above 55 mph. At lower speeds, the car runs fine. Thanks

Check to make sure there isn't any dirt, mud or snow build up inside your rims as this will throw them out of balance. If there is clean it out. If the problem is still there or none of that is in the rims feel around the tires, make sure they feel the same all the way around. Any bulges or cupping(uneven tread) and I would recommend replacing the tires. If still every thing is good take them to a repair shop and have them put on a balancing machine. They probably just need to be rebalanced.

My car camry 2003 runs well usually but sometimes the car trembles or gives trembling noise when the brake is applied.

will try to help.your front brakes and rotors may need replacement. when you apply brakes say,at 40 mph do you feel vibration on brake pedal or shaking in steering wheel? the vibration comes from worn or warped front brake rotors. while you have those rotors replaced,go ahead and have new front brakes applied also,or else you'll still have brake problems.always ask to see old parts when you have brakes and rotors unless you have a complety trustable mechanic! the rotors will be round and silver,a very bad brake rotor will have grooves cut in it.always shop for best price at different shops to get a picture of the price for replacement! do not be afraid to ask questions! front brake pads can cost anywhere fron $20.00 to $45.00 rotors can cost $40.00 to $50.00 each there will only be 2 rotors on the front and the brakes are complete for the front, both sides,on the front. as a general rule you'll replace your front brakes twice before you'll need to replace the back brakes because most of you stopping power comes from the front brakes. and as always,if you need further assistance please contact an expert!thank you for choosing fixya.com

Brakes all 4 lock up steering wheel shakes above

OK, when the ABS module is unplugged, the same results. That tells me that the ABS system is not working properly.
Did they look into the master cylinder and other abs related components?
Any ABS codes on it?

If steering wheel shakes above 50 mph that's likely to be the tires on it, rather than a brake problem.

Have tires balanced and rotated and inspected for out of roundness that might cause vibration above 50 mph.

Steering whell shimmies when brakes are applied

A common problem with brakes are the rotors warping, which causes a vibration when applying the brake pedal. The brake pads, clamp down on the brake rotor, which slows the vehicle, and in the process, both items are subjected to very high temperatures. This is what causes the rotors to warp, which in turn creates the vibration you feel.Best solution is to replace the rotors and pads, with new.The calipers, which hold the brake pads, should be checked by the technician to make sure the piston is working properly, and not leaking. The rubber hoses should also be checked,no cracks or leaks, etc.Good luck.
