More than likely the tiny DC motor in the gauge cluster is defective, a common issue on this truck. Pull the cluster and have it rebuilt with the updated parts.

Usually the oil sending unit on chevy is near the oil filter housing

The oil pressure sending unit is on the top, rear, driver's side of the engine.

Its likely the electronics and sensors inside the tranny. Take it into a reliable tranny shop and pay for a diagnosis (only).

Front shocks are week

Does it shift into park and reverse with the shifter disconnected ? Both the shifter and the actual transmission ?

the red brake warning lamp will illuminate if a: there is a base brake problem (low fluid) check the fluid leve if low find out now where it is going, low or worn out pads/shoes, or B: the e brake pedal is not ruturing all the way up, try pulling on the release handle while pulling the pedal up, if that fixes it find out why the pedal is falling probably needs a new ebrake pedal or new cables

Your e-brake cable may be out of adjustment causing light to come on,see if this will help.
