You need a new fuel pump. The injectoers require 50 psi to start the engine.

Have a 2005 freestar that wont crank unless you prime the throttle body with starting fluid then it runs fine until you shut it off then you have to prime all over again. new fuel pump and new pcm.

You'll have to do a fuel pressure test to see if the fuel rail is maintaining fuel pressure. If psi falls, it's either a leaking fuel injector, bad fuel pressure regulator or bad check valve in the fuel pump. Since you've replaced the pump, chances are it's one of the other two.

First thing to try would be different fuel. Use a fuel stabilizer and fill with good gas. see if that helps. Also, check the fuel pressure.

Ford f150 fuel injected 302 STARTS THEN SHUTS OFF GIVING GAS

How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, my info says 35--45 psi, so if your right in the middle, somewhere, it should be fine. Have you ever changed the fuel filter? Any hi pressure fuel system, you need to make sure no pressure on the system before you take any fuel lines loose.

Car will not start unless you prime it then it will run for a brief period and not idle. it has the 3.0 engine with the throttle body style of fuei injection

If the breif period is just 10 seconds the fuel pump relay is at fault since the fuel pum operates it seems since it fires up once the key is turned on.
