For an Inline 4 like I'm assuming, 1-3-4-2. If you have a V6, I believe it is the "Kindergarten Pattern", 1-2-3-4-5-6.

Hi there. I just did a tune up on my 95 Jimmy with the same motor. The firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2 and the distributor rotation is clockwise. I hope this helps.
