I'm not sure the year,make or model of this car or truck but code # 22 is an older code for obd1, so i will tell you the most common code 22. this code means theres a problem with the tps (throtle postion sensor), check connection at tps sensor, if you would like to send me the info for the car i will help you better, good day.
Code 22 is the Water Temperature Circuit Open or Shorted.

You most likely are tripping a MAP sensor out of range code 22, and should check it out, especially the vacuum line going to it, and any other vacuum line under the hood,
