I suspect a fuse blew. My dash lights and tail lights are out. Does that sound like a fuse problem? If so...where is the fuse box? What type of fuse is needed?

This sounds more like a dimmer switch problem but could be a fuse they are located
drivers side kick panel under the dash. I think they were mini fuses for this vehicle.

Why did my parking lights and all dash lights quit 95 mustang

Most likely reason is that the tail light fuse blew out. The dash lights have a seperate fuse, but it is wired in series with the tail lights, so that if the tail light fuse blows, the instrument cluster lights also go out. The dash lights going out is sort of a warning to let you know to check your tail lights

Check the owner's manual, and the cover on the fuse box. Fuse sizes will be listed for each location. Tail lights use more amps than dash lights.

Tail lights and dash lights are not commin on. back up lights brake lights and turn signals all still work. I think it has something to do with some type of switching device for the day time running...

It sounds like you may have blown a fuse the tail lights and dash lights are usually on the same fuse. Do you have the owners manual? That will show you where the fuse boxes are located and which fuse does what. If you find a blown fuse and it blows another one right away, there's a problem in the wiring. You'll have to get it checked bt a mechanic.
