A BAD CRANK SENSOR WOULD NOT CAUSE A LOSS OF POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP. ARE U SURE ABOUT THAT, THE FUEL PUMP ONLY RUNS FOR 1 SECOND WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED ON UNBLESS ENGINE IS STARTED. DO A FAULT CODE TEST ON THE COMPUTER, GO TO THE WEB LINK FOR INSTRUCTIONS AND A FAULT CODE LIST, VERY EASY TO DO.

Hello, I have a 1992 D150 / 5.2V8 / 5 Speed / 2wd. I had a no start condition. The engine would crank but no fuel pressure at fuel rail and no spark. Replaced Crankshaft Sensor and truck fired right up. Will do tune up before it gets to cold.
the crank sensor doesn't affect the fuel pump, it will cause no spark, I have the factory service manual and looked this up, so you most likely have a pump that is sticking and this caused a loss of fuel pressure, happens most in cold weather conditions, so it may act again.
Okay then. So it seems that this was just a coincidence that after replacing crank sensor that fuel pump started working. I will let truck sit outside today (suppose to be 25 degrees today) and check fuel pump pressure. What would the specs be for fuel pump pressure? The truck got “sick” when the first cold spell came through. I will also check for codes.
