Please open your fuse box to check if you notice any fuses that are discolored or (potentially) burnt. if you find one, that fuse might be linked to the dome lights.
To be sure, please call your local advanced auto parts to verify the fuse # is correct and then you can order the fuse through advanced autoparts.
If possible, pull the horn relay, use jumper wire on switch side of relay, right side in diagram. If the horn sounds, it's not the fuse. Sometimes these diagrams don't post, for some reason? good luck
You don't have a short in the fuse box ! Before you cause more problems ,take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop . The fuse just supplys battery voltage for the wiper's . I guarantee it's not the fuse box . The fuse for the front wipers is located in the rear fuse box . FRT WPR fuse # 33 25 amp. The rear fuse box is located under the left rear seat. I would bet the pluse board on the front of the wiper motor is bad , not the fuse box . I have thirty years of GM dealer ship experience as a technician . Just because pulling the fuse turns them off doesn't mean there is a short in the fuse box , it's just cutting battery voltage to the wiper motor . Wiper motor pulse board is bad , these go out all the time an cause the problem your having . https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2004/gmc/envoy_xuv/body_electrical/wiper_motor_pulse_board_kit.html?brand=ac_delco
Relay in fuse box under hood on driver side wheel well labeled HDM, #46 on 2004 Envoy XUV. Swap with relay #45 labeled "Fan" to test. That was my problem.
There is a fuse box under the back seat on the left hand side. The fuses you need to ck are fuse#4 tbc3 fuse and fuse# 40 tbc 4 fuse. The dome lights operate through the bcm.
