Has the blower motor speed control resistor module been replaced, this is likely the problem, it is located near the blower motor and bolts into the air duct for cooling. this has a thermal limiter in it that is a fuse, when it blows u get no power to the blower motor.
If the fuse in the resistor blew would it randomly work or stop working completely? This is where my confusion is. The ac will randomly work and work on all settings not just high or low. thanks for your prompt reply.
I am not sure of the exact design of the speed control module in this model, but yes intermittent operation could be one thing, you did not make it clear the system functioned on and off, still recommend you replace the blower speed control module
Would the blower speed control module also be known as a Blower motor module? The system does not function on or off, just randomly if I try to turn it on it will work (typically when it is extremely hot outside it will work for a bit.

If the ac not working at all then its connections needs to be checked in the dash controls.But if there is power to the ac and its not working then the compressor has to be checked.Does the compressor kicks on.If no compressor then it will not work ,the compressor needs to be checked.But if the compressor not working then the the motor and the start up capacitor has to be checked.Also get the ac refrigerant checked.If its low then ac compressor will start but will blow hot air.
Check for the ac drain line.It must be clogged and also get the ac vacuum leak checked.At any local car garage get the ac pressure and and its connections checked.This will confirm whether its ac connection issue or the refrigerant low issue or refrigerant leak issue.

as you mentioned that you replaced the blower motor.But did you checked the blower motor resistor and replaced.in many cases replacing the blower motor resistor resolves the problem.also check the fan on radiator and condenser unit of ac.if any of the fan is not blowing then ac will not start.In some cases the fan gets faulty due to faulty fan connector plug.Check out.
The A/C and Heater Blower Motor Resistor controls the speed of the blower motor and the force of the airflow out of the dash vents. You select the level from your dash instrument controls, but this resistor is what enables those controls and regulates the power to the blower motor.
Location: The stock resistor is located under the cowl, just to the left of the right hood hinge. The plug for the resistor is located inside the truck to the right of the heater box.
Tools Required:Flat Blade Screwdriver (for prying air intake grill off)
Long Phillips Screwdriver (10 to 12 inches long, or 1/4 inch drive socket with extension and Phillips bit)
1/4 inch drive socket with 12 inch extension and 1/4 inch hex socket (installing PRC8010).
Replacing The Resistor:1. Remove the center and right side air intake grills by removing the rectangular covers and pry the grills out. Remove the foam filters.
2. The resistor is held by two Phillips screws. They can be removed with a long screw driver positioned through the center air intake and through the hole for the right hood hinge. You may find it easier to use a 1/4 inch drive ratchet with a long extension with a Phillips bit instead of a screwdriver.You should see the original resistor (it will look different than the improved replacement.)
It may be necessary to remove the brackets and cross bar for the foam filters to gain access the resistor (drill out the rivets)
3. Once the resistor is free, remove the grommet where the harness goes through the firewall. Then pull the harness until you can access the red plug connector and disconnect the old resistor from the red connector.

Thanks for your detailed response. I believe my truck may be a little different ( Im not sure though). I found that my blower motor is under my passanger dashboard. I replaced it real quick and I saw the resistor next to it with 2 screws into it. Before I pay another 75 for a resistor I am trying to determine if it is logical that the ac would randomly work if the resistor was the problem.

I am trying to determine what the most logical problem would be. My ac works randomly, I was told it would be my blower motor which turned out not to me the case. Aside from the blower motor what would cause this problem and it is a fix that I might be able to complete?
