This car has a catalytic converter, you can't see the smoke of the burned oil with it, it's cleaned. The oil could get in the plugs cavity only if there's a leak at the valve cover. My guess is that the oil seeps out only when there's pressure - the engine is running. To find where it leaks clean your engine thoroughly the start the engine in your driveway for an hour - where the oil will leak you clearly see it. In that case replace the corresponding seal.

I have a 99 Avenger and was told that I have a transmission leak after getting my oil changed. I have not noticed any leaking on my driveway (although I have a gravel driveway), I am not sure what to do...

Hi, I recommend you check your fluid level periodically to see how much it's leaking. If it isn't leaking much and since you have a gravel driveway anyway, I wouldn't bother fixing it. It is usually expensive to do so--much more than the cost of a few bottles of fluid per year. The transmission dipstick is near the back of the engine, near the firewall. You leave the engine running with the transmission in park to check it. Use a funnel in the dipstick tube to add fluid. If the transmission runs low on fluid, it will not go into gear. That will be a reminder to add fluid. You should keep a couple quarts in the trunk along with a funnel in case it runs low awat from home. Ask the parts store person what is the right fluid for your transmission, as there are several kinds. Sound OK?

Oil pressure at 0 on 2005 trailblazer

It sure sounds like the oil sending unit is at fault, now sometimes, not always, the oil sending unit will seep oil or leak oil if they go bad,but like I said, not always, change the unit, and the oil and filter just for precaution.
