Where is the egr valve located on a 1994 Ranger 4.0L V6?

If your ranger has a egr valve it will be on the driver's side of the upper intake plenum (the top aluminum housing, very top of the motor) and about centered on the plenum.in 1994 I have seen Rangers with and without a egr valve. I believe it depends on if its California emissions or not.

2000 buick lesabre engine code p1404

P1404 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Closed Position Performance The egr valve is stuck possibly due to carbon buildup. It may be possible to remove the egr valve and clean it with throttle body cleaner or induction cleaner. If the pintle can not be unstuck then the valve egr will probably need replaced.

P0406 code for 1994 buick lesabre

DTC P0406 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit High.

You in fact do, need to replace the EGR valve. P0406 is actually EGR position sensor high code. Which means the PCM recieved a egr position sensor signal greater than 4.89 volts. For some reason the the egr on the 05 minivan had a high failure rate.

The best way to get at the lower bolt after you remove the upper bolt and the two 8mm tube screws, pry the valve rearward. This allows you to get a socket on the lower bolt.

Hope helps (remember to rate and comment this).

Dies at Idle and decelration - won't start for 15

Hello. I bet your problem is one of these two things. 1: your timing is out. Making it run at such a low idle that it stalls itself out. 2: your truck is running too rich and flooding itself out. Just adjust theb timing a bit and lean the motor out a bit and you should be as good as new! Hope this helps!

After removing the cover, the egr valve is beneath, you will need to remove retaining clips to remove the egr valve.

First you need to remove the egr and clen the carbon out the pintle gets clogged and restrics the flow and in turn throws a code as all the checks are made by the pcm"drive cycles".

Egr malfunctioning

this engine is plagued with egr issues! the 4.3 liter engine is suspect to carbon build upo inside the intake, the chunks of carbon break off and plug up egr so the pintle can not close fully...the good news is the valve is not bad.... remove the valve, carefully clean the pintle free of debris. start the vehicle with egr valve out..make sure wiring for valve is out of the way....it will be very loud..rev it up and down a few times to help purge carbon chunks out of the intake. reinstall valve..this should help you..

ps your 4 thumbs up is appreciated!
