Where is the orifice tube on a 98 Buick LeSabre

not exactly sure but using info below you can find it.

Remember the flow for the a/c system is :
1. From the compressor a high pressure (HP) gas goes to the condenser in front of the radiator.
2. From the condenser a HP liquid goes to an expansion device (orifice tube or expansion valve)
3. From expansion device the low pressure gas enters the firewall to the evaporator.
4. From evaporator the low pressure liquid/gas mixture goes through the dryer2_bing.gif back to the compressor suction.

There will be about a 1" nut on the low pressure line between the firewall and the compressor. Remove nut and on the male side use a pair of kneedle nose pliers and remove orifice tube. Note orientation of tube.

Replace tube, reassemble, evacuate air from system, recharge with freon.

2002 lesaber, tape player c/d combo. when playing

Try disconnecting the battery negative and positive cables. The radio has a constant hot wire which keeps the memory alive on the radio. This constant wire always has power to the radio so you have to disconnect the (+) for at least 2 minutes, which should clear out the memory on the radio and hopefully it'll stop saying clean player. If it comes back on when you hook the battery back up then look up the radio brand and model number on line and do a search for a way to clear it from the radio.

P1665 and 1667 on my 98 LeSabre replace the purge valve solenoid still getting the codes

You need 3 thing to get an engine to start. Fuel, air and spark. remove any one and you get a No Start. No start even with starter fluid suggests there is no spark to ignite the fluid. Try going back to basics. Check the silly, obvious stuff first. Yes, I've been caught out by these, Is the battery fully charged? is the air filter clean? Is there fuel in the tank? Have you checked for spark at the actual spark plugs? When you crank the engine what exactly does it do? This will give clues as to the cause. If it just turns as it cranks suggests no spark, Trying to start but not running suggests fuel supply. - Check you have spark all the way from the spark plug to the coil pack and power to the coil pack itself. - Is there fuel getting to the cylinders? - Is the air intake system clear and not blocked.

Av not blowing through vents

Vacuum leak from hoses or the vacuum canister leaking. A leaking Power brake booster can cause you to loose enough vacuum to cause a problem also.

Rear license plate does not work

My park avenue has star bit screws on both sides of the plate lights right at the top of the license plate holder. I just chaged them last week. I do not know what size the bit was and I am not sure your car is the same. My car looks just like the car in the picture just longer and a little bigger.

1998 buick lesabre 3.8. Replaced starter. jumped

voltage is a bit low. have you tried rotating the engine by hand with a socket on the crank., just to see if the engine is free to move. if the starter engages but not turn, it could be the voltage as they can be regulated this would stop it from flattening the battery via the solenoid, its usually around the 11 volts mark on some types. as low volts will damage the battery. or the battery amperage is not good.
