There's 9 screws in the plastic piece that surrounds the instrument cluster and the lower knee guard, remove those screws and pull the plastic trim away from the dash, disconnect the switches on the left side as you pull outward. Then there's 4 screws that hold the actual instrument cluster in place, remove those and pull the cluster out, unplug the grey plug in the back of the instrument cluster and your done. You may need to set your parking brake and put your transmission in 1st gear of you have a column shifter model.

My 2003 trailblazer's oil pressure sending unit is past the highest pressure point of 80.... Is this the sending unit are the gauge in the dash??

It is the stepper motor that drives the gauge, this a common failure on the instrument cluster. There are vendors on E-bay that service instrument clusters if you are willing and capable of removing the cluster from the vehicle.

I have a 2004 Chev Trailblazer and the instrument cluster the back lights work but the instruments don't, the fuses are good, sometimes after driving it for 15 or 20 minutes and shutting it off and...

This is very common, in fact GM issued an extended warranty on the gage clusters from 2003-2005. Unfortunately the extended warranty has expired. The cluster either needs to be replaced or rebuilt. I know there are several companies that specialize in rebuilding them, but it takes 3-5 days and the vehicle is not drivable during that time and the repair is not cheap. I just checked and there is one on e-bay for $90 that may work for you. Here is the link, good luck! http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=trailblazer+gauge+cluster+&_cqr=true&_nkwusc=trailblazer+gage+cluster&_rdc=1

2004 Trailblazer,2.4L. Tachometer not showing correct rpm. It shows about 4000 rpm when engine is off and 5000 when engine is started. Any idea where the problem could be? Thanks

If the car runs fine with no noticable abnormality, then it is the gauge itself. Turn off the car remove the battery connection then connect them again, and see what happens.

2003 trailblazer, some of the guages are not working, the battery guage, the tachometer, and the speedometer

On the 03-06 Trailblazer instrument clusters this is a common problem. It's caused by failing stepper motors on the cluster's circuit board and it can be repaired. Check out this facebook group dedicated to the problem - My Trailblazer Gauges Are Driving Me Crazy!
