Electrical wiring replaced after market stereo with factory radio and now i have no dome lights, the module for light controls doesnt work, power locks doesnt work, dash lights do not work but power windows work (only when started) power mirrors still work and my information, PRND123 and service lights still come on. I am soooo lost with this one. any help? everything else works... fuses good and harnesses all plugged in good. looking for a diagram to track power to each component. under warranty but was told i tampered with it when i changed out radio... so trying to avoid bringing it in until problem solved. Thanks

You need to revisit the fuse box ,, there may be more than one ! If you think the dashlights fuse are intact , check by switching on/off the side lights while checking the fuse. The fuse beside the side lights fuse should also be a side light fuse. They are handed LH and RH for safety reasons and check you have both side lights in the front. Power locks may be a dash switch /plug connection. Worst case senario ,(temperarily) remove radio and remove any fault you may have introduced into the system . A small bulb type tester will be a great help ! Good luck

Navigation system / Stereo won't turn off.

Might try pushing the power button on the radio instead of letting the battery die. Look at the functions of the body control module to see if it controls the radio power. If it does, then replace the module.

Hyundai tiburon '03 - dome light doesnt work and radio resets

did you use a aftermarket wire harness made for your vehicle? If you did then there is a wire marked 12v constant that wire will be yellow that is what you are missing hopefully you did not cut the factory plug off of the vehicle. the aftermarket harness plugs into the factory harness

99 neon dome light wire diagram

Hooked all wires up right??? Fuse is fine??? Somehow, I do not think this is the case. I wish I had a dollar for every time I have seen this happen....I would be a VERY rich man!

You do not need a dome lamp diagram. You need to replace Fuse #13 (10 Amp) in the Power Distribution Center in the engine compartment. This will make the power return to the PINK wire and get your dome lamps working.

The only way that the RED/WHITE wire is going to have power with the ignition switch off is if either the ignition switch is shorted to power or the RED/WHITE wire got hot enough to melt the insulation in the wire harness and short to another B+ wire. This wire is supposed to have power when the ignition switch is in the RUN and ACC positions. Make sure it is in the OFF position. If this wire still has power, then YES, you probably smoked the wiring harness. If this is the case, the dash should be removed so that full access to the wiring harness can be achieved, allowing a full inspection/repair of ALL of the damage (there are most likely several other wires in the harness that have also been damaged).

2006 armada. Horn and interior lights do not work, all fuses are good in the panels. I can jump the horns at the relay and they work but not the interior lights. Is there another power sorce? or relay for...

Do you has an after market (non-factory) alarm system?
==
Locate and check the alarm module's inline fuse(s) and relay(s)
Open covers and check every dome light bulbs.
Clean the door and rear hatch electrical contacts.
Some interior lighting system has a "slow dim" or "theater" lighting module. Check for loose connection at the module.

Power winidows, wipers, dome lights not working on 1998 explorer

This could be a combination of electrical issues, although i feel that the timing is coincidence in this case. When the combination is elec. windows, wipers, and dome lights this is indicative of the GEM module located behind your radio. The GEM (generic electronic module) is an electronic body control module that regulates electrical flow through a number of accessories.

These factory module boards are notorious for acting quirky by failing to ground intermittently until failing completely. I would be cautious in replacing ignition switches, locks, etc. as the issue can be also compounded by corrosion of the main battery ground wire in the engine compartment and which can cause frying of your under dash wiring into the main wiring harness which can get expensive (i speak from experience having had the exact same syptoms). My issues were that these symptoms occurred only in full ON. When in key BACK ACC mode, they disappeared.

New price for one of these modules is around $280-$300 and easily replaced.

Good Luck

New radio installed - now dash lights don't work

Most factory stereos are wired to the dash dimmer switch. Usually if the dash lights go out after an after market stereo installation, it is because the wire that originally went to the factory stereo is not used for after market stereos. Double check the fuses and ensure the wire that controlled the lights on the factory stereo is not grounding out on something.

Electrical problems in subaru - can't get my brand new stereo installed and working

the airbag should be fine aslong as the light is not on. the airbag wires are wrapt in yellow plastic. check all fuses with test light cos the wires for those accesory arn't near the radio at all. there are two power wires for the radio CONSTANT and ACCESORY if you have the two around the wrong way it could cause this problem.
