    when kickdown is used revs go up speed goes down

Check your freon level. Take it to a mechanic, do not attempt on your own.

    This car does not use freon, the refrigerate used in most modern passenger vehicles is r134a, BMW x3 have issues with the cooling fans failing causing the cars to have to much head pressure for the compressor to kick on, make sure your cooling fan is functioning
