My 2000 GMC Sierra horn connections have two wire for each horn. I would like to replace my hold with another used horn I found but it only have one wire that leads to the horn. I took the male end that will plug right into my horn socket so I just need to know how to wire it to the horn?
CONNECT ONE WIRE WITH AN EYELET AND CONNECT THE OTHER TO THE HORN THE ONE WITH EYELET NEEDS TO BE FASTENED TO BODY OR GROUND
One wire is for the power, the other is for the ground, (check with a test light to be sure which one is which). Some horns use a seperate wire for the ground, if the horn isn't attached to anything metal. If you attach the power wire to the horn, and the horn is mounted to metal, or something that is ground you won't need the other wire connected. Try the horn to see if it works. If not, you'll need to connect that wire to the bracket of the horn, to supply a ground for the horn.
