How to rewire horn connections from two wire, to one

My 2000 GMC Sierra horn connections have two wire for each horn. I would like to replace my hold with another used horn I found but it only have one wire that leads to the horn. I took the male end that will plug right into my horn socket so I just need to know how to wire it to the horn?

One wire is for the power, the other is for the ground, (check with a test light to be sure which one is which). Some horns use a seperate wire for the ground, if the horn isn't attached to anything metal. If you attach the power wire to the horn, and the horn is mounted to metal, or something that is ground you won't need the other wire connected. Try the horn to see if it works. If not, you'll need to connect that wire to the bracket of the horn, to supply a ground for the horn.

2005 sierra horns stopped working. I hear a click at the fuse box under the hood when i press horn. I know horns are good as i wired them direct. is there another fuse somewhere other than in the fuse box...

The click you hear is the horn relay -- this likely has either dirty / corroded connections or burned contacts inside the relay. If cleaning all relevant connections doesn't solve the problem, replace the relay. You can find the realy by having someone push the horn button while you track down the click.

Horn does not work, the relay clicks and the fuse is good. What else can I check?

Check for power at the horn with a volt meter. If you don't have one a 12v light will work too. If there is power there replace the horn, if not you will have to check the wiring back to see where the problem is.
Hope that helps

How to replace a starter on 1994 gmc sierra 1500 with a 350 engine

unhook the battery, there are 2 wires on the starter solenoid, 1 is a 5/16 nut and the other is a 9/16 nut remove those wires. this maybe easier to remove the heat shield first. next ther are two 9/16 bolts holding the starter in position, remove, and the starter will come out, about a 15min job

The switch in steering wheel may be shot. Also check wiring to horn and you can also try connecting horn straight to horn.
