It could be from many reasons...sometimes even the ABS system will cause this fault or even the Steering position Sensor. if it comes and goes then inspect your height sensors as the early version of the height sensors are getting weak and like melting so it gives wrong reading which cause the fault...offer more info. and you'll get your solution

2003 Range Rover air suspension. Help please!!

If the bag hasnt completely failed (punctured or worn to leaking) they can come "unseated" from the base at the bottom of the "bellow" or bag. Not very common but possible. Alternatives to dealer parts and installation checkout ARNOTT air springs. The bag alone runs about $100. If you can afford it replace both fronts with the ARNOTT new generation one piece airspring. The are easy to install and offer little or no headache. Lastly, if you are a fan of the unsurpassed comfort of your Range Rover air-ride suspension, dont let anyone talk you into the coil spring conversion. Its not the same level of comfort and you will feel a big difference in handling. Good luck!

My 2003 range rover is reading air suspension inactive and it will not go

Try using a scanner to read codes or re-activate, also have a look at the air suspensions bag/balloons, might have a leaky one. If so change, check air suspensions activator unit too. Valves may ber bad.

Am receiving a message on my Range Rover 2004 Inactive suspension

Welcome to Fixya

Air suspension is currently in fault mode. It will have to be re-set by someone who has the Land Rover scantool (either a dealer or an independent shop). The EAS system is inaccessible with a regular OBDII scantool. The car will not allow you to control the suspension height (raise/lower/defeat) until the fault is cleared. Please see this link .

Air suspension inactive

you can try turning the ignition on and off , only to position two ond off with out starting , between 20 - 30 times this sometimes confuses modules and causes them to clear faults , if not i would recomend getting it plugged in , if vehicle is not in warranty go to landrover specialist , much cheaper!!!!!
