1993 geo tracker fuel injector

I am not familiar with the model. Single point injection would normally inject almost continuously and if the wiring diagram was checked it would probably show the injector power comes direct from the same supply as the ECU uses and the ECU will provide the ground path if the ECU (ECM) is good and is receiving the correct data from the various sensors.
This provides possibilities: -
Bad ECU.
Bad wiring.
Insufficient information from sensors.

If there is an immobiliser it is worth checking it is properly disarmed.

the 1992 , has 2 engine choices.
one is MPI 16v G16B engine
and the other is the G16A 8V, TBI SYSTEM.

its EFI so has both.

remove and have the injectors cleaned and set
leaking injectors will allow fuel in when not required causing the detonation

Check the oil. A few of them cars back in the 80's had a low oil switch to prevent the engine from running if the oil was low by turning off the fuel pump. But if it runs when you pour gas in it, and you say it has fuel pressure? Why is it not getting fuel? There has to be shut off somewhere in the line that is preventing it. Try removing a battery terminal to kill the entire system then, retry it. You never know.

Front seating area, driver side, behind instrument panel, relay mounted on driver side of electronic control unit housing

look on the intake manifold for a place or on the side of the throttle body( where air goes in the motor)

The data svcs only show 1 fuel pump relay on this vehicle, it is located under left side dash under and perpindicular to ecm.

It should be on the fire wall, on the passenger side. Behind a black plastic cover.

engine needs tuned running to fine on gas mixture slight adjustment only needed.hope this helps .adrian

dead Injector 8valve.

use a NOID lamp to see if ECU is pulsing this
injector.
