From http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/
The P0300 is a misfire and P0506 indicates low RPM at idle.

A misfire can be caused by poor ignition (spark plug, plug wire, coil, ignition module/engine control module).
OR
Poor air/fuel (air filter, fuel injector, fuel pressure, fuel filter, fuel pump, bad gas, or engine control module).

Check your maintenance requirements and see if any of these items are due for replacement first.

Thermostat failure, random misfires detected, idle control errors. Severe vehicle overheat condition could set po300 and po506. Recommend replace tstat and seal , clear codes and recheck.

Diagnostic test said codes P0300, P0017, P0068, and dash says reduced power, and is running very rough.

Put those code into google for description & fix

OBD2 PO300 etc

You can print code charts also

Codes won't tell you what is wrong, the web sites may

Codes don't tell you to change anything, you have to know
how to component test, doubt you will find that, need factory
manuals

Helm.Com for manuals

Two of codes are not generic-- so thus the internet search

The PO300 is random cylinder misfires,no value by it'self

Im getting a P0017, P0014, P0300 code on my 06' Colorado, I replaced crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor do I have to reset the timing on my vehicle?

po300 is a general missfire code if i rember right. there is more than likely an install procedure that will require you to clear all cods ( even if there is no code preasent ) before you install the new part or failure of those parts can happen

Code po506 shows up how do i fix it

This P0506 code is one that's sometimes triggered on vehicles that have electronic throttle control. That is, they don't have a regular throttle cable from the accelerator pedal to the engine. They rely on sensors and electronics to control the throttle. In this case, the P0506 DTC (diagnostic trouble code) is triggered when the PCM (powertrain control module) detects an engine idle speed that is lower than the desired (pre-programmed) RPM.
Causes:
A P0506 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:
· A vacuum leak
· An air restriction in the intake
·
· air path or exhaust
· A faulty positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve
· Damaged/failed/dirty throttle body
· Internal engine problem
· Failed PCM

This DTC is more of an informational code, so if there are any other codes set, diagnose them first. If there are no other codes, inspect for vacuum leaks, restrictions, and damage. If there are no symptoms other than the DTC itself, just clear the code and see whether it returns
