I go to start the truck and when i turn the key it attempts to start and automically stops. The really strange is that it has happened 3 times and in about 15min.it will all of a sudden start. I have a code scanner and no error codes come up at all.

It could be several things but when it does it again try loosening you fuel cap and see if it starts, also check the cam and crank shaft position sensors,if your scan tool has a stand alone feather try having hooked to the truck when you are having this problem, before the truck actually starts some times the codes are reset once the trucks computer catches back up and resets to running smooth.good luck

What to look for? why is this electrical system malfuntioning?

Well that kind of sounds like a bad connection, but it was difficult understanding with no good punctuation... Have you checked the battery terminals? If not, do so, and have your alternator checked too. I've seen some really goofy stuff happen when some vehicles don't get enough power.

I turn the key and nothing happens. The lights do come on as normal and I had AAA check the battery. It's fine. Strange part is I can try to start it 3 times without success but in 2-3 minutes it will

It may be the starter relay or even the starter. I have had both happen on these cars. a less common problem would be the ignition switch. The starter relay is easy to replace, it is under the hood in the fuse box. Should be listed as starter relay.

1997 Ford Ranger 2.3L Hard Start

I love my Rangers, and it sounds like you need a new starter drive, better know as the bendix. It is cheaper to buy a new starter. As far as the door locks, I would get the starter fixed first and the door lock problem may go away. sounds like the starter is dragging the power down and could cause a number of strange thing to happen. Hope I have help you solve your problem. I think It will.

Saturn 2002 sl1 is having problem starting. The first time I turn on the ignitinion, it would just crank but would not completely start. However, the second time I turn the key, then it would start...

Very strange. It's possible something is not being powered the first time such as a relay, but its also possible the fuel pump relay is out and you are just cranking it long enough to build up oil pressure.
The fuel pump relay provides voltage to the pump when you turn on the key, then the pump gets voltage from the ECM once the oil pressure shows the engine is running.
You'll need to find out if you have no spark or no fuel pressure on the first attempt to start.

You have a dead battery.
The procedure to fix it is as follows:
1) Charge battery.
2) check alternator belt tension. If loose, tighten or replace.
3) If still no start, replace battery.

Car wont start, changed ecm, plugs, started but died, what should i do

After you put in the ecu, do the crank relearn, and you're good to go.
Ensure that your battery is fully charged before attempting the relearn procedure. Do not leave any battery charger or jumper cables attached to the battery. Close the hood completely. Some applications require that the doors remain closed during the procedure.

1. Rotate the key to the start position to attempt to start the vehicle (the vehicle will not start).
Allow the key to return to the all position (same as if the vehicle would have started). The theft system light will flash (or stay lit) on the dash for approximately 10 minutes.
2. When the theft system telltale stops flashing (or turns oft) turn the key to the off position for 5 seconds and then attempt tostart the vehicle. The vehicle should start on this cycle.
3. Once the vehicle is running, the password relearn is complete.
