The cd will not eject from the unit

I was loading CDs into the unit during a cold day and it took one then cycled and would not accept another. I then tried to play the one cd and it came up with a cd error. I then tried to eject the cd and it cycled 4 times but did not eject the cd. I have tried to eject several times and it still will not work. This is a 2005 Mercury Mariner with the 6 cd player that has the problem.

You need to call radio shack or a stereo place to see if they can help if you take the loader out and bring in.

I have had my cd player replaced under warranty 3 times for this same issue. Check with the dealer because there is obviously a problem.

Cd player wont accept cd.s says load error

pull the player out but leave it connected. when you push the eject button, lightly tap on the top of the cd player, if there is one jammed, you may want to consider just getting a new cd player, it may do the same to your cd!

Cd player keeps going out when i try to play/load/reject get 'error' message

Take out #7 and #31 fuses. Start the vehicle, the radio/cd will not come on. Shut the vehicle off and replace the fuses. Start the vehicle again and you shoud hear the cd player cycling through the cds. Be patient and let it go through the process. Then play/eject/load cds. It worked for me.

Envoy 2004 cd player

I had same problem with a 2005 Envoy in Jan '09. I took it to the ex-GM dealer. He said he'd try. The unit would only play using radio.
Mechanic took unit out of dash, and top off of unit. Ejected CD bu moving the eject mechanism. Replaced top and unit.
Works and plays cds. Cost $25.00 And i tipped the mechanic $10.00 for his knowledge.

I had this say problem with my 2000 solara. Here is the fix, remove one of the car battery terminals for a couple of mins (3-4mins). The reattach the battery terminal back. This would make your cd player and car clock reset. once you start your car you should be able to eject the cds. You'll just need to reprogram all your preset radio station. Hope it helps
